As If We Weren't Busy Enough

Life has been so insane, and now we are adding more...  Bothe Ben and Sydney have started soccer. Last week was their first week.  Ben's practices are immediately after Sydney's dance classes on Tuesday, but Sydney's dance is in another city and Ben's soccer is and the exact opposite side of town. Shawn has to leave work early to pick up Ben from me and run to soccer practice or else it just wouldn't be able to work. Now as if Tuesdays weren't busy enough, they just got busier... Saturday mornings, bright and early Sydney has her "games."  They aren't really games so much as a practice and scrimmage. She loves it so much! Ben has his games on Saturdays at noon.  His are real games except they are 3 vs 3 with no goalie.  He did really well for having only one practice before the game. Ben's team made a goal! Ben's team won, even though they don't technically keep score.  It was so muc...

Whew I've gotten behind.

But in my defense, a lot has happened in this past week.  I'm going to let you in on all of that now. Here was our schedule for last week: We have been spending so much time together as a family lately and I love it. Tuesday, we got our very first delivery from  Door To Door Organics .  I was so excited that I waited around for it and it didn't come and didn't come and didn't come.  I gave up and decided to take the kids to the park.  We were at the park for an hour and a half and then went to pick Shawn up from work.  When we came home, we had a huge box by the front door.  Before the delivery, our fridge was empty since it was time to go grocery shopping.  After the delivery, I was searching for places to put food. This was everything we received: This is our fridge after the delivery: Thursday, was our grocery day.  I clip coupons and look for de...

I've been neglectful...

Oops, it seems this week I've been a little neglectful with my dear blog.  I'll try to do the best I can to update today.  I'm not in a great mood today, but I'll try to not let it affect my update today. We had a nice memorial day weekend.  Saturday, we started the day out by going to the Farmer's Market.  We didn't get there until late though so we missed out on the lettuce and spinach.  We did buy a bottle of wine for $18.00.  When we pop it open, I'll let you know what I think about it.  I'm normally happy with cheaper wines.  I've become a big red fan over the last couple of years and Shawn needs a sweet wine so we bought the one that will hopefully fit both of our likes. After lunch, I took Ben with me as I went garage sale hunting.  Shawn watched Sydney and did his school work.  We didn't find a lot, especially since we went out so late, but we did find a couple of good things.  We got Ben two little toys and I found a pr...

A lot of living

We've not really been doing anything special lately, just living.  We are still getting settled in to our new home and have lots of unpacking and organizing to do.  Shawn finally finished work at the old house Friday.  Thank goodness it's done.  That takes a lot of pressure off of us.  Here's a picture or two of my sweet family: Thursday evening, we went to the grocery store.  Since we go as a family, we grab two carts.  Ben goes in one of the smaller carts that has a car or firetruck ride in thing on the front, (Shawn pushes Ben's cart) and I put Sydney in the front of my cart and the groceries in the back.  Ben has wanted to ride the horse in the lobbylike area of the grocery store for a while now and we've said no in the past (mainly because we don't have change on us.)  This time we gave in and let him ride it.  After looking all over for where to put a quarter, we figured out it was f...
