Attempting to be a Super Mom

This cute little craft came from  No Time For Flashcards .  It's so cute and super simple. C is for Carrot What you'll need: Orange construction paper Green pipe cleaner Hole punch Scissors 1.  Draw and cut out the letter C. 2.  Round the ends so that it more resembles a carrot. 3.  Punch 2 holes in the top end of the C. 4.  Cut the pipe cleaner in half. 5.  Feed it through the holes. 7.  Twist the pipe cleaner around. And you're done. My goofy boy making goofy faces.

I got this really cute craft from  Totally Tots .  Every one that knows me well, knows that I love crabs, since it is my zodiac sign. C is for Crab What you'll need: Red construction paper scissors glue googly eyes 1.  Draw and cut out the letter C. 2.  Cut out strips for the eyes and arms to attach the claws to. 3.  Cut out claws. 4.  Turn the C on it's side. 5.  Glue the strips on to the C. 6.  Glue the claws on. 7.  Glue the googly eyes on. And you're done and I must say he's quite cute.

b is for bumble bee What you'll need: Wax paper yellow and black construction paper googly eyes scissors glue pipe cleaner tape 1.  Draw and cut out a lower case b using the yellow paper. 2.  Cut out little strips for the stripes and a stinger from the black paper. 3.  Glue the strips on to the letter b.  (make sure to cut off any shaggy edges) 4.  Glue on the stinger. 5.  Glue on the eyes, and draw a smile. 6.  Cut wings from the wax paper. 7.  Tape them to the back of the b, since they won't glue well. 8.  Glue the pipe cleaner on for an antenna. And you're done. 4.

B is for Butterfly What you'll need: 2 colors of construction paper pipe cleaner scissors glue googly eyes and I needed a hot glue gun as well 1.  Draw and cut out the letter B. 2.  Glue construction paper to fill in the inside of the B. 3.  Cut out a body for the butterfly. 4.  Glue the body onto the B. 5.  Glue on the googly eyes. 6.  Draw a smile on him. 7.  Fold the pipe cleaner and glue to the head.  I used hot glue for this part. And you are done.

Is it just me, or is time flying by so incredibly fast?  I keep thinking life is going to slow down, but it doesn't.  I know, that's probably very naive of me.  I'm beginning to believe life is always going to be like this, or even more busy as the children get older.  This weekend though, we found the time to work on the house.  These were things that I'd been wanting done since we moved in here in April.  I must say that my husband is a rock star!  When he gets started, he really knocks it out.  We've been working on turning our garage into a garage.  Right now it's filled with boxes.  The kids bedroom is not habitable, and the office has been packed with junk.  We've done a lot of work on the office, since Shawn got me a new desk last week.  I'm going to use it as a desk/sewing table.  I'm thrilled about it, and even more so about the fact that it's gotten our rears in gear with cleaning. So I really did get behind in my blogging.  These past couple of weeks have been totally CRAZY!  Ben's birthday was Friday, and as I'm sure any parent can relate to, we've been running around like chickens with our heads cut off in order to attempt at giving Ben the perfect birthday.  I'll get to more on this shortly. We had been planning dinner with our friends Tim and Rebekah for a few weeks.  We try to do it every other week.  This time, it kept getting postponed (car trouble on our end, and personal issues on their end which is not my business to go any more in depth on).  We finally got to do it last night and it was so good.  It was supposed to be German themed, but due to a time crunch, it fell apart a wee bit.  It doesn't matter though, because it was DELICIOUS!  I made bierocks.  I posted the recipe here .They were so good and a hit for the adults.  The kids didn't really care for them, but kids are often picky.  Reb...

I have to tell you, this is not my recipe.  I got it from this blog  Dishin & Dishes .  I made it for dinner tonight with our friends for a German themed meal.  We have not eaten dinner yet, but I assure you they are awesome.  (I ate 2 1/2)  I couldn't believe how much flavor they each had. Bierocks Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef 1 small cabbage, chopped in small pieces 2 onions, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper bread dough either store bought or homemade  (on the recipe, she has a specific dough to make, but I made my own and cheated... I let the bread machine do it.) 2 tbsp melted butter Directions: In a pan, brown the ground beef with the onions. When done, add the cabbage and garlic, salt, and pepper  Stir and then cover.
