Shawn's sleep study.

Last night, Shawn had a sleep study at LMH.  I knew I'd miss him while he was gone, but I didn't sleep well at all.  I had these plans to make the evening like a slumber party for me and Ben, but it didn't quite work out.  Ben had a tummy ache from too much pizza and brownies at CiCi's pizza earlier in the evening.  My sinuses were starting to really get to me... We just ended up laying in bed watching things on the DVR.  No snacks, no fun games, no coloring, nothing.  We were very boring last night but I can't even begin to tell you how many times I woke up throughout the night.  This house makes too many scary noises and without Shawn here, I just couldn't sleep.  I woke up the second I heard Shawn put the key in the lock this morning.

Funny side note:  This morning I was watching Go Diego Go with Ben and when Click the Camera came on and was singing the song, I was being silly and had my hands in front of my chest and was waiving them and my whole body side to side trying to be silly and maybe spark Ben to laugh.  Instead he pouted and grabbed my hands like he was telling me to stop.  I didn't think he'd be embarrassed of me already.  Don't most kids wait until they are older than 2 to be embarrassed of their parents?

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Happy Homemaker Monday

As I look outside my window::: So far today, it is cold and gloomy! Right now I am:::  Sitting on the couch under my crocheted afghan. Thinking and pondering::: On Thanksgiving!  What to fix.  I think I'm getting carried away, but I love it.  On my bedside table::: I haven't been doing much reading lately and I should. Duck Commander Family by Willie and Korie Robertson Frozen by Sarah Nathan and Sela Roman On my tv tonight::: American Horror Story Some Doctor Who specials Playing on the radio::: I don't have anything playing right now, but I'm obsessed with James Blunt's new song, Bonfire Heart. The video is amazing too.  I love the story behind the video.  The people in it are NOT actors.  The wedding scene towards the end, he actually crashed a wedding and captured the bride and grooms first dance.  Amazing.  And, not only is his voice and music wonderful, he's a total hottie. On the menu for ...

Blogmas 2014 - Day 13 How Are You Counting Down To Christmas

Ok, honestly....  I'm not.  I have this gorgeous advent calendar that is 3 building with little numbered doors all over them.  I haven't gotten it out for lack of space and really small children.  Maybe next year.  Also, Ben has been all over the lego ones and stuff so I figure, I'll pick up some next year or as I see them now this year, so each kid can have their own next year.  I don't know maybe I'll just make them if I'm feeling crafty and find the time.  It actually hit us all at once on Saturday that Christmas was less than 2 weeks away.
