As the kids get older...

Please try to be patient with me.  As the kids get older, I become increasingly busy during the day and don't always have a lot of time to be on the computer.  Some days, I'm not on at all.  I promise I'll update when I can though.

Last week was another fun, but busy week.  The weather has been incredibly hot.  One day we got up early, and went to the park.  It was so hot though, that Ben couldn't do anything that required your skin touching anything.

Thursday was the sidewalk sale.  In the 5 1/2 years we've lived out here, we've never gone to the side walk sale, until this year of course.  Shawn and the kids bought me a really cute purse for my birthday.  It's big, like I love my purses and poor Ben could hardly carry it.

We celebrated my birthday all weekend long.  My mom, her boyfriend, my sister, my brother, and my nephew all came out on Saturday.  We had a nice lunch, ate cake (my sister made) and then went to walk downtown.

Sunday, we went to Shawn's parent's house.  A great friend of ours, Torren, and his parents came out and we spent the afternoon out by the pool.  Sydney looked so cute with a doo rag on.

We BBQ'd for our wonderful lunch and then had a great cake.

After the wonderful food and a little relaxing, Shawn and I went to the Chicago and Doobie Brothers concert (my gift from Shawn's parent's).  It was a total blast.

It's been a crazy but fun couple of weeks.

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Happy Homemaker Monday

As I look outside my window::: So far today, it is cold and gloomy! Right now I am:::  Sitting on the couch under my crocheted afghan. Thinking and pondering::: On Thanksgiving!  What to fix.  I think I'm getting carried away, but I love it.  On my bedside table::: I haven't been doing much reading lately and I should. Duck Commander Family by Willie and Korie Robertson Frozen by Sarah Nathan and Sela Roman On my tv tonight::: American Horror Story Some Doctor Who specials Playing on the radio::: I don't have anything playing right now, but I'm obsessed with James Blunt's new song, Bonfire Heart. The video is amazing too.  I love the story behind the video.  The people in it are NOT actors.  The wedding scene towards the end, he actually crashed a wedding and captured the bride and grooms first dance.  Amazing.  And, not only is his voice and music wonderful, he's a total hottie. On the menu for ...

Blogmas 2014 - Day 13 How Are You Counting Down To Christmas

Ok, honestly....  I'm not.  I have this gorgeous advent calendar that is 3 building with little numbered doors all over them.  I haven't gotten it out for lack of space and really small children.  Maybe next year.  Also, Ben has been all over the lego ones and stuff so I figure, I'll pick up some next year or as I see them now this year, so each kid can have their own next year.  I don't know maybe I'll just make them if I'm feeling crafty and find the time.  It actually hit us all at once on Saturday that Christmas was less than 2 weeks away.
