Hot Artichoke and Cheese Dip

At the beginning of football season, my Aunt Marci sent me a cook book she'd put together and called "Ultimate Football Recipes." Yesterday for the Super bowl, I made her artichoke dip. It was so good that everyone filled up on it before anything else was cooked. Seriously amazing. Probably the best artichoke dip I have ever had.

Hot Artichoke and Cheese Dip

2 8oz cream cheese - soft
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 16 oz chopped frozen spinach - thawed
1 13 3/4 can artichoke hearts
2/3 cup Monterey Jack cheese

(I also added a can of sliced, drained water chestnuts which was really good)

Mix all and heat in a crock pot.

Even Ben loved it and he's pretty much a picky eater.

When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees. I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold. It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees. When I was younger it was the parking lot. There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to. We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences. My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought. Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for. I have pretty much everything a girl could want. I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.
