Ok, so I know I've been MIA for a while.  We've had computer/internet problems and then we had family staying with us.  Our house has been crazy hectic lately and it doesn't look like it's going to slow down anytime soon.  At least I have my computer working now.

I'm pretty sure, by now, everyone has seen the infamous Friday by Rebecca Black video.  If you've been living under a rock for the past few months, and haven't seen it, you can click the above link.  I know it's totally played out, but when my husband was driven crazy by the song, I found the perfect opportunity to become the "Troll Mom" as Shawn is too good at trolling everyone else.

I won't lie, it took me about 3 weeks to get this much out of Ben, but it's too cute not to post and it really did get a good groan out of Shawn.


What's cuter than a singing and dancing 3 year old?

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. Happy Homemaker Monday

   As I look outside my window::: So far today, it is cold and gloomy! Right now I am:::  Sitting on the couch under my crocheted afghan. Thinking and pondering::: On Thanksgiving!  What to fix.  I think I'm getting carried away, but I love it.  On my bedside table::: I haven't been doing much reading lately and I should. Duck Commander Family by Willie and Korie Robertson Frozen by Sarah Nathan and Sela Roman On my tv tonight::: American Horror Story Some Doctor Who specials Playing on the radio::: I don't have anything playing right now, but I'm obsessed with James Blunt's new song, Bonfire Heart. The video is amazing too.  I love the story behind the video.  The people in it are NOT actors.  The wedding scene towards the end, he actually crashed a wedding and captured the bride and grooms first dance.  Amazing.  And, not only is his voice and music wonderful, he's a total hottie. Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
