Happy Homemaker Monday

It's been a couple of weeks since I've been able to do this post...  I feel like we've had some huge changes here which I mentioned in the last post.  Good changes, but they keep me fairly busy.  Eventually we will get into a groove, but until then, please bear with me.

The weather outside is::::
Right now, it's about 20 degrees and the snow that hadn't melted yesterday is now laying on top of a solid sheet of ice.  Loading up the car for the school run this morning, I slid down the driveway.  Side note, Toms are not meant for ice or snow as they give no traction and really don't keep your feet very warm or dry.

On the breakfast plate this morning::::
Nothing yet.  I'm thinking about a nice cup of coffee, maybe some oatmeal and a half of a bagel.

As I look outside my window:::
The ground is sort of covered here and there in snow, but not much.  It's mostly just cloudy, and I'm glad to be inside.

Right now I am::::
Sitting at the kitchen table typing this up and working on my week in my planner.  I'm taking the last few minutes of quite to try and get my things done.
As I look around the house::::
Scotland is asleep in her carseat on the kitchen table.  Shawn is in the office (in our home office) for a work meeting.  Sydney and Rylie are still asleep upstairs, on my floor for some reason.  Thankfully the house is in pretty good shape this morning.
On today's to do list::::
Laundry....I have a basket upstairs and a load in the dryer that needs folding, as well as a load of diapers on my couch to stuff and put away.
Cleaning....In the kitchen....I need to unload the dishwasher and put the breakfast dishes in. I also need to put some clutter away.  My counters are covered in open cookbooks and kids school papers.
In the bedrooms....I need to make my bed and have the kids make their beds.
In the bathrooms....Clean the downstairs shower.
Sydney's Dance
Run a few errands
Also, this week....Sydney's birthday shopping and do her party invites.  Thankfully her birthday party isn't for a couple of weeks since we weren't able to get the location any closer to her birthday and she didn't want to do it somewhere else.

Currently reading::::
Game of Thrones by George RR Martin

On the TV today::::
Vlogs, maybe a show or two but who knows of what. Oh, and I might finish the short series Monday Monday since I have one or so episodes left.  Darn you Hulu for recommending me a show I'd get attached to and then would be over in 7 episodes.

On the menu this week::::
I literally have no idea!  I have to meal plan and grocery shop, but I'm not sure when that will happen.  We might be scrounging around for dinner tonight.  Maybe eggs or something, who knows.Monday -

What I am creating at the moment::::
Nothing right now, but hopefully there will be something soon.  I really need to.

New recipe I tried or want to try this week::::
I have nothing at the moment.  I do have recipes I tried over the past weeks that I really need to put in my blog though.

Favorite photo from the camera::::
Ben got 2nd place in his first ever wrestling tournament.

Prayers, Inspirational Quotes or Devotionals::::
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. ~ Matthew 5:16

Sometimes in the winter I just get so tired of wearing boots so I attempt to wear something cute (in other words, without traction) and it always ends with me on my bottom in the snow! ;)

Have a great week!

The photo you picked is a great one. Your forecast makes me sad! It will be 79 degrees here today.
Nice to find you again Liz - thanks for commenting on my HHM! I'll add you to my blog reading list so I don't lose you again. Lol

Love that pic of your kiddo - he looks like he means business! ;)

Hope you're staying warm and have a wonderful week ahead. xo

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
