Happy Homemaker Monday

There is a new format for Happy Homemaker Monday that started this week but because I'd already typed up using the old one, I'll wait to change until next week.  Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday and a great week.

HHM

The weather outside is::::
It's quite gloomy at the moment but it is about 60 degrees.  I think the high today is 81 with some rain this morning and this evening.  I think we are supposed to get rain all week.

On the breakfast plate this morning::::
At the moment, just a coffee with some Italian creme coffee creamer and a juice.  here in a minute or two I'm going to go make some eggs and maybe some bacon though.

As I look outside my window:::
It's just sort of gloomy and rainy and the wind is really blowing.

Right now I am::::
Sitting at the foot of my bed typing up this post avoiding the housework that beckons me.

As I look around the house::::
Scotland is bouncing so cute and sweetly on my bed and laughing like a little loon.  Ben's at school already.  Sydney and Rylie are playing with dolls in their bedroom.  Shawn is on a call in the office directly below us.  I can hear his voice through the floor.  When he's on calls I keep the kids either out of the house or upstairs so the kids can't be heard on the phone.  The house is in need of some picking up.  There is a pile of dirty laundry at the bottom of the stairs and a few piles of folded clean laundry on the living room ottoman in need of being put away.

On today's to do list::::
Grocery shopping
Dishes
Laundry
Rinse Diapers to wash
Finish the Teacher Appreciation gifts
Dance - Sydney
Enroll the kids in Summer Soccer Camp

Currently reading::::
Game of Thrones for myself, The Never Girls to Sydney and Harry Potter with Ben

On the TV today::::
Vlogs
The Lizzie Borden Chronicles
Call the Midwife
Wolf Hall
Grey's Anatomy
Bones
(I got so far behind on all of my TV shows that my DVR literally filled up and has been deleting things as well.  Thank goodness I have Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Videos to help me with my missed shows, but I find that I get sidetracked instead and find a whole new series that I binge watch and then start the process over again.  HAHAHA!)

On the menu this week::::
Monday -Savory Beef and noodles
Tuesday - Sweet and Sour Pork Chops with yellow rice and veggies
Wednesday -  Cowboy Casserole
Thursday - Chicken Quesadillas with Rice and beans
Friday -  Creamy Rotini with Ham and Asparagus
Saturday -
Sunday - Mother's Day - probably something on the grill

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
