Happy Homemaker Monday

Good morning!  It is a beautiful Monday here.  We are back from vacation, refreshed, and ready to go on with our normal lives.  I'm so glad to be back here on my blog that I love so much.

On the weather front:
It's not near as bad here as Eureka Springs was this last week and weekend.  We got to 103 one day.

On my bedside table:
Game of Thrones (still only on the first book but life has been so insane that by the time I sit down to read, it's late at night and I fall asleep reading)

On my TV:
I'm not even sure at the moment.  I've got tons on my DVR

On the menu for tonight:
Frozen Pizzas

On the menu for this week:

Monday - Frozen Pizza
Tuesday - Nachos
Wednesday -
Thursday - Chicken curry with basmati
Friday -
Saturday -
Sunday -

On my To Do List:
Laundry
Mopping and Vacuuming
Editting videos
Sorting pictures for blog posts

New Recipe I tried last week:
I tried no new recipes since we were away on vacation.

In the craft basket:
I've got nothing at the moment but I'm dying to get back in.

Looking forward to:
Life calming down a bit before getting into the chaos of going back to school.

Homemaking Tip for this week:
I don't have anything at the moment.

Favorite photo from last week:

Shawn was holder her down by the spring so she could splash her feet in the water and he was kissing her head.  It was so amazing.

Lesson learned the past few days:
Oh there have been so many.

On my Prayer List:
The family of one of the sweetest women I've ever met who passed yesterday.  She died too young, but it was here time and she is no longer suffering.  She leaves behind her wonderful husband, son and daughter.

So glad you enjoyed your vacation. I always love going away but love even more returning to my little house and getting back to a routine. You know with school starting soon it's going to get nuts again lol

Love that picture, so sweet :)

I hope you have a wonderful week.

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
