Happy Homemaker Monday

I'm here!  I'm here! I'm here! I've been away a lot and I'm not perfect, so it may happen again, but I really want to be here.

On the weather front:::
I believe the temperatures are cooler this week keeping the highs in the 60s and low 70s.  I'm super excited for it to start feeling like fall.

On my bedside table:::
Kleenex
Remote
Fake flowers in a vase
A couple of books

On my TV:::
A few vlogs
I don't have a ton of time for shows today as I'll be running like a mad woman quite soon today.

Thinking and pondering::::
I've really got a lot on my mind...

We've been struggling quite a bit with behavior and the kids, specifically Rylie who is 4 and firmly in drama-ville. If you ask her nicely not to do something she either doesn't listen or she starts over reacting and says some really off the wall things like "You don't like me!", "You want me to die!" or her big one already today "Alright, punch me in the nose until I'm black and blue." Where does this come from? How do we move past this phase? Please tell me it's a phase!!!

My baby brother leaves for basic tomorrow morning for the Army National Guard.  I didn't think I had a problem with it. I thought I was ok and that it wouldn't be that difficult. He lives roughly 45 minutes away and I have a busy life and he has a job and friends and a life of his own. I didn't think that him going across the country for roughly 6 months would be very different. Two nights ago we had his 19th birthday party/going away party and everything hit me.  I'm really struggling with him leaving. I'm actually getting quite depressed about it.

Listening to::::
An episode of Classic Sesame Street on the TV in the background.

Favorite Youtube Video last week:::
I didn't really have much time last week for Youtube, but am planning on catching up soon.

On the menu for this week:::
I need to plan for the week still.  It's the last week of absolute insanity with kids schedules.  Soccer season is over after Saturday! Ben will be picking up another art class but I just drop him off and come home while he's there so I actually will have time to cook.

On my To Do List:::

Looking forward to:::
The cooler weather and soccer being over.  I'm ready to spend some time at home.

What I plan on doing for myself this week:::
I'm going to do my best to start blogging and vlogging again.  I've had so many posts I've wanted to type up and so many videos I've needed to edit. I'm going to work on it, because I truly enjoy it. I just don't often to do stuff I enjoy because I spend all my time doing stuff for my children or housework. I would also really like to find some time to get my hair done.

Lesson learned the past few days:::
No matter how hard you push your feelings down deep inside, they always have a way of resurfacing and sometimes keeping things inside have other consequences than just an occasional explosion of emotions. It can have an affect on your health as well.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:::

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
