Happy Homemaker Monday

Breakfast time....what is on the plate this morning::::
I'm currently drinking my second cup of coffee and ate blueberry oatmeal for breakfast.

Right now I am::::
Sitting at the kitchen counter trying desperately to not to fall asleep.

The weather outside::::
It's supposed to be 70 degrees today. It's only 55 right now. 50s for the rest of the week.

Looking around the house::::
The living room and basement are covered in Christmas decorations. We're really getting excited for Christmas.

On today's to do list::::
Laundry.....I have a giant pile of laundry to get washing, and a basket or two to fold.
Cleaning.....Run the dishwasher, take out the kitchen trash, vacuum the kitchen floor, make beds.
Grocery Shopping.... I may just put in a grocery order. Either way, we have no food in this house.
Kids Extra Curriculars.... All 3 girls have dance this evening. It takes up the whole evening which doesn't leave much time for anything else.

Currently reading::::
I'm currently reading The Nest by Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney and Voyager by Diana Gabaldon

On the TV today::::

Not sure I'll have much time for TV, so maybe just a little YouTube or Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce on Netflix

On the menu this week::::
I have a meal plan, but truthfully, between Shawn's work, and our busy schedule this week I don't know how much will stick.

Monday - Greek Chicken and Feta Pasta with Garlic Bread
Tuesday - Frozen Pizza
Wednesday - Quick and Easy Asparagus and Chicken Rice Pilaf with Broccoli and carrots
Thursday - Easy Italian Sausage and Bean soup with cornbread
Friday - Traditional Balsamic Beef Stew with homemade bread
Saturday -
Sunday -

If I have a few minutes to myself, I will::::
Read or lay down for a minute or two. I feel like I barely slept last night.

New recipe I tried, or want to try this week::::

I have a couple of new ones I'm hoping to try this week like the Greek Chicken and Feta Pasta or the Asparagus and Chicken Rice Pilaf and the Traditional Balsamic Beef Stew.

Looking forward to this week::::
Starting the Christmas Shopping.

I'm running quite late this week. Your tree and decorations look great! Only thing that would be better is if It's A Wonderful life was playing on the tv when you took it. Have a wonderful weekend.

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
