Better Than Olive Garden's Fettuccini Alfredo
3 tablespoons sweet butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
3/4 cup mozzarella cheese
Melt butter in a medium saucepan with olive oil over medium/low heat. Add the garlic, cream, and white pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and stir often.
Add the Parmesan cheese and simmer the sauce for 8-10 minutes of until the sauce has thickened and is smooth.
When the sauce has thickened, add the Mozzarella cheese and stir until smooth, stirring frequently. While the sauce cooks, boil the noodles.
Place the pasta on serving plates and spoon sauce over the pasta.
I also added a little cooked broccoli to the fettuccini alfredo. I didn't happen to have fettuccini so I used bowtie instead.
