Happy Homemaker Monday

I've been gone for a while, while the kids were home all summer and life has been going crazy. For the first time ever, all four of my babies are in school all day everyday. It's the most strange feeling!

The weather:::
Today is so humid. When I did the school run this morning it was only 75 degrees but sooooo humid I had sweat pouring off of me just from the walk from the car to the building and back.

Monday - Partly Sunny, 94
Tuesday - Morning Thunderstorms, 96
Wednesday - Showers and Heavy Thunderstorms, 88
Thursday - Thunderstoms in Spots, 80
Friday - Thunderstorms in Spots, 83
Saturday - Possible Thunderstorms, 86
Sunday - Possible Thunderstorms, 89

On the breakfast plate this morning:::
This morning I had some left over grilled potatoes from this weekend. I fried them up on the stove. I also ate a few grapes and drank a sugar free redbull and orange juice.

Right now I am:::
Sitting at my kitchen counter with my laptop and my day planner, trying to organize our new schedules.

On my bedside table:::
The tv remote, a glass of water, a couple of books, some hand lotion, a candle, a vase with fake flowers, and my retainers and my glasses.

On my reading pile:::
The Flatshare by Beth O'Leary and The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

Movies or Shows I watched this weekend:::
I don't know that I've watched much of anything over the last week or so. Maybe the odd episode of Super Store.

On my TV this week:::
I'm hoping to watch some of the vlogs I've been missing, the last season of Orange is the New Black, Jane the Virgin, and Four Weddings and a Funeral.

On the menu for this week:::

Monday
Not sure but Shawn's making dinner

Tuesday
Tacos

Wednesday
Smoked Pork Tenderloin with brussels sprouts

Thursday
Spaghetti with asparagus and salad

Friday
Homemade Pizza

On my to do list:::
Dishes
Laundry
The kitchen floor
Pick up the living room
Cleaning out the water bottle cabinet in my kitchen
The bedroom closet
Clean the master bathroom shower with the new scrubber
Scottie, Rylie, and Sydney's ballet classes

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
Nothing currently but I'm hoping to start back up soon. I have a blanket I've abandoned and I'm interested in doing block printing again, which I haven't done since I was a kid, but I loved it. Right now, I'm working on our family vacation video, photo albums and scrapbook.

Looking forward to:::
I'm not even sure. I'm so exhausted from back to school and the vacation to Disney World right before that. I just need a little down time, so that's what I'm looking forward to.

Looking around the house:::
My house needs a little tidying but it's really not that bad. It's mostly just quiet and empty.

From the camera:::
My kiddos on their first day of school last Wednesday.

What I'm wearing today:::
I have on a pair of jean shorts and a floral short sleeved sweatery type top. I've also been wearing my adidas flip flops since it's so hot out.

Thinking about:::
School breaks! I miss my babies already!

Bible verse, Devotional, prayers:::

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
