On the breakfast plate this morning::::
I've gotten off to a late start this morning since I was laying in bed Christmas shopping much of the morning, so I'm finally getting around to my luke warm coffee and thinking about some cinnamon raisin toast and grapefruit.

As I look outside my window:::
A current look out my front door.

Right now I am::::
Sitting at the kitchen counter, sipping lukewarm coffee and trying to gather myself enough to go on a quick run on the treadmill.

As I look around the house::::
The kids are on a snow day today, so it's complete chaos. There are unfolded blankets all over the living rooms, and toys out everywhere. Lots of noise and love though. We have the Christmas trees on and the house definitely looks like Christmas.

On today's to do list::::
Laundry....We've had a stomach bug sweep through the house last week, so we are trying to was
Cleaning....I've definitely got some picking up to do through the house and some sweeping in the kitchen and vacuuming the rest of the house.
Sledding..... The kids are dying to go sledding.

I don't envy your week of dance rehearsals! My daughters dance academy did their annual Nutcracker performance last weekend. She wasn't part of it this year as I didn't think I could juggle all the rehearsals with a newborn, but I am still glad the chaos is over.

I hope your children had the chance to go sledding and that you all enjoyed your snow day!

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Happy Homemaker Monday

   As I look outside my window::: So far today, it is cold and gloomy! Right now I am:::  Sitting on the couch under my crocheted afghan. Thinking and pondering::: On Thanksgiving!  What to fix.  I think I'm getting carried away, but I love it.  On my bedside table::: I haven't been doing much reading lately and I should. Duck Commander Family by Willie and Korie Robertson Frozen by Sarah Nathan and Sela Roman On my tv tonight::: American Horror Story Some Doctor Who specials Playing on the radio::: I don't have anything playing right now, but I'm obsessed with James Blunt's new song, Bonfire Heart. The video is amazing too.  I love the story behind the video.  The people in it are NOT actors.  The wedding scene towards the end, he actually crashed a wedding and captured the bride and grooms first dance.  Amazing.  And, not only is his voice and music wonderful, he's a total hottie. On the menu for ...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
