Attempting to be a Super Mom

The Weather::: It's about 80 degrees today.  It actually feels nice. Right now I am:  Sitting on the couch, relaxing... Thinking: I'm ready to be lazy for the rest of the day.  I'm so ready for bed and it's only 4:30. On my reading pile::: I haven't had much time for reading lately so I'm still reading The Widow of Larkspur Inn by Lawana Blackwell. I have had a rough week. It's been stressful and nearly heartbreaking, starting on Tuesday when both of my kids darted out in front of moving cars on separate occasions, and Shawn's plane having problems mid flight. Now the things aren't so big, but they just keep piling up. Today, it broke me. I couldn't take anymore even though more kept getting added on. The kids fought all morning. It's just frustrating as a parent to be breaking up fight after fight but it's pretty common, at least in our household. We decided to go to Shawn's parent's house and Shawn and the kids were going to go fishing with Terry. While I finished getting all of our stuff put together, Ben and Syd played in the front yard. We have a neighbor who thinks it is acceptable to take her dog into our front yard to poop. I assume this is so she doesn't have to worry about stepping in it or clean it up. Ok, so I've literally been working on this post for awhile... mostly just putting my pictures on flickr so I can post them here since my picasso thingy is full for what they will allow me with out paying, and I'm CHEAP.  My husband bought me flickr pro awhile back, so I'm finally using it. Just as a warning up front, I'm feeling really sentimental at the thought of my baby growing up so this post is so full of pictures.  Be prepared. Ok, so on September 17th, my little man turned 5.  I feel like his whole life has been a blink in my life... I mean time has just flown by.  He's such an amazing boy.  He is a comedian and loves making people laugh.  He also loves Power Rangers and Super Heros and everywhere we go, bad guys seem to follow, but Ben protects us all.  Everywhere we go, you can hear him "fighting."
