Attempting to be a Super Mom

So, I'm not going to get into details, but last night was a rough night here in my family and it has bothered me all day as well.  I've spent a good chunk of the day depressed and to top it off, the kids haven't slept in three nights.  Shawn has been going in with the big kids to try and allow me to get some sleep, but no luck...  I spent all morning just laying around and watching movies with the kids. Harley Quinn has been quite snuggly too!  I think animals can sense when you need snuggles on bad days. I did manage to make a cake, since that's all I wanted to eat for lunch.  Hahaha!  I made Crazy Chocolate Cake and it turned out amazing. I have a messy family of 5 and Sydney often goes through two or three outfits a day, so we do a lot, and I mean A LOT of laundry.  Shawn and I make our own laundry detergent though to cut down on cost and help with Ben who is allergic to Era and has on occasion had reactions to Tide. The weather.....  Hot and humid today, but it looks like it may be a little cooler later this week. Right now I am.... Watching about the royal baby and on the phone with my mom. Thinking.... About how much I still have to do around the house.  Coming back from vacation is hard. On my reading pile.... The Duggars: 20 and Counting! and The First American Cookbook On my TV..... Desperate Housewives, and I was also on Baby watch What I found while surfing the net.... Nothing at the moment.  I've been busy working on chores all day and I just got home from vacation yesterday. On the menu for this week.... I have no menu at this point for the week.  I need to come up with one, but just haven't planned that far ahead.  I don't even know what I'm cooking for dinner yet and it's 3:40. On my to do list.... Sorry in advance for the picture overload. Getting ready for vacation has been stressful and exhausting, but we've tried to make it fun as well.  Yesterday on our trip to get Ben's birth certificate, we also went to the Kansas Museum of History and Gage Park , as well as lunch at Hanover Pancake House . We were hungry and around the corner from the Office of Vital Statistics (where we got the birth certificate) was a cute and fun little diner called Hanover Pancake House.  The kids enjoyed chocolate chip pancakes, and I devoured a corn beef hash scrambles bowl.  Tuesdays, with a regular entree you can get a free slice of pie.  I got the peanut butter pie and it was so rich and creamy with the best crust.  My mouth is watering as I type this. My kids are so in love with the Kansas Museum of History.  We have gone three times now in the last month.  The kids were so excited to show their cousin Langston all the neat things there.  I have so m...
