Mourning The Loss of a Friendship

I am quite an emotional person.  I rarely feel eh on something.  When I'm sad, I cry.  When I'm happy, sometimes I cry then too.  When I'm angry, I yell or cry.  It's just the way I am.  I'm not always rational, and am aware, usually after the fact, that I make situations about me.  It's very hard for me to forgive when I, or someone I love, am hurt by someone. I take things personally, even when it doesn't truly involve me.  This is me. Right now, I have a lot of anger and hurt inside.  I'm trying to let it go.  It's not my battle, but several times a day, I'm thrown back in.  It shouldn't affect me, but in reality it does. When people start a relationship with someone, especially as the relationship gets more and more serious, friends get involved, family gets involved. As time goes on, other relationships form with this significant other, whether they be friendships, sister like relationships, bro relationships, whatever. ...

50 Things That Make Me Happy

Lately, I've found myself saying I miss how things were two years ago or how much less stressful things were in the past.  My husband is always telling me "These are the best moments of our lives." I know it's true, but sometimes with everything going on in our day to day lives, it's easy to forget.  For that exact reason, I decided to join up to Percy and Grace and list 50 things that make me happy.  I'm also including pictures for many of my favorite things. 50 Things That Make Me Happy (These aren't really in any order) 1. Ben 2. Sydney 3. Rylie 4. Scotland 5. Shawn 6. Family 7. Friends 8. Making new friends 9. My nieces and nephews 10. Going out to eat 11. Trashy reality tv 12. Game of Thrones 13. Getting sleep 14. Happy Homemaker Monday

There is a new format for Happy Homemaker Monday that started this week but because I'd already typed up using the old one, I'll wait to change until next week.  Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday and a great week. The weather outside is:::: It's quite gloomy at the moment but it is about 60 degrees.  I think the high today is 81 with some rain this morning and this evening.  I think we are supposed to get rain all week.   On the breakfast plate this morning:::: At the moment, just a coffee with some Italian creme coffee creamer and a juice.  here in a minute or two I'm going to go make some eggs and maybe some bacon though. As I look outside my window::: It's just sort of gloomy and rainy and the wind is really blowing. Right now I am:::: Sitting at the foot of my bed typing up this post avoiding the housework that beckons me. As I look around the house:::: Scotland is bouncing so cute and sweetly on my bed and laughing like a little l...

Birthday Parties, Holidays, Field Trips, and Everything Else

I have been MIA.  I haven't even been doing my HHM posts.  I feel like I've been barely hanging on to my sanity by a thread.  I think now that we've gotten through the birthdays things might be getting better. Warning, this blog post is jam packed with pictures! Ok, so once again, here I am.  So much going on and no updates about any of it.  Honestly, I'm a bit overwhelmed.  Keeping this house up is completely insane.  We just have no room here.  I'm dying to move.  I found a house that I really love.  It needs some updating and eventually new windows, but the big thing is the back yard needs to be leveled to be usable as a place for the kids to safely play. Oh well, if it's meant to be it will be. Either way, I need a little more space. So, Sydney... My oldest daughter turned 5 on March 9th.  5!!! Can you believe it?  It's flown by! She took cupcakes to her class the week before since her birthday fell on a Monday and sh...
