The weather in my neck of the woods:
Warm and wonderful. Perfect for playing outside and good tomato growing.

Things that make me happy:
FaceTime on my husband's MacBook. I know that sounds silly, but it's been so awesome. For Mother's Day, my mother-in-law got an iPad, and we have been doing FaceTime with her and the kids in the evenings and everyone seems to love it.
Book I'm reading:
Uncharted TerriTori by Tori Spelling.
What's on my TV today:
Well, the Casey Anthony trial was on this morning now for the rest of the day, I'm not sure. Maybe some Downton Abbey and this evening with the family a little Mr. Bean. We all laugh hysterically at Mr. Bean.

On the menu for dinner:

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:
Oh wow, I've got nothing at the moment. Right now, I'm just working on our gardening.
Looking forward to this week:
Getting stuff done and getting ready for Father's Day. My husband works so hard that I really want to make it special for him. Especially since the kids are starting to get old enough to get involved and excited about it.
Tips and Tricks:
Tips and Tricks:
If you are cleaning a vase and you can't reach the bottom to get it cleaned, put in egg shells with a little soap and a very small amount of warm water and swirl it around. The egg shells will scrape the bottom to remove the gunk. I also keep around a baby bottle brush for this sort of thing as well.
My favorite blog post this week:
Once again, I'm behind on my blog reading, but am hoping to catch up here in the next day or two.

Lesson learned the past few days:
This is something I've known for a very long time, but it was reinforced this weekend. When you are going through a rough time, family will always have your back.
On my mind:
Getting over this ridiculous cold. We all have it, and my daughter seems to have given me pink eye. I just want us all to get healthy so we can get on with enjoying our wonderful summer weather.
Comments
The sniffles/headaches/ear infections have swept through our family...and I just got well enough to venture out of the house yesterday.
We don't seem to notice when we are well, and fit but boy do we notice it when we are knocked down by a cold.
Hope you get better soon!
I wish I had managed to get a garden in this year.
Meeks, Thank you. I think we are finally starting to get over it. You are exactly right. When we feel fine or healthy we don't notice.
Lucinda, Thank you. I definitely recommend giving them a try. Super easy and very yummy. We didn't get a big garden in, but a few tomatoes and some pepper plants. We also planted a lot of just pretty plants in the flower bed along the front of our house.
