Happy Homemaker Monday

Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather.....

Right now I am....
Snuggling with my girls on the couch and watching Disney Junior.

Thinking....
I could really use a nice mocha.  Haha!  I'll be making one in a moment or two.

On my reading pile....
I just picked up Swimming to Elba by Silvia Avallone at the library, so I need to get started on that, also I have a couple of chapters of Little House in the Big Woods left to read to the kids, because I've been slacking and then we want to start Charlotte's Web since the next couple of Little House books were already checked out at the library.

On my TV.....
I need to watch Downton Abbey season 3 and get that DVD to my mother-in-law so she can watch it.  Also, new Call the Midwife from last night.

Blog hopping (newly discovered blog)....
I wasn't able to read any blogs last week.  Not even my favorites, so I have some catching up to do.

On the menu for this week....
Monday:  Cheesy Spaghetti bake
Tuesday:  Henry Ts (out to eat)
Wednesday:  Slow cooker Creamy ranch house porkchops and roasted veggies
Thursday:  Baked chicken
Friday:
Saturday:
Sunday:

On my to do list....
Laundry
Dishes

In the craft basket....
I haven't been working on anything and I've really been itching for a project.  I might start searching blogs for some fun crafting ideas....

Looking forward to this week....
Shawn coming home on Wednesday.  I miss him too much.

Looking around the house....
Ben has his Star Wars toys scattered all over the living room floor and is playing loudly with them while he and the girls watch Sofia The First on Disney.  I have laundry that needs my attention in the hallway, some dirty to be washed, some clean to be folded, and some folded to be put away.  There is a few dishes in the sink that need to go into the dishwasher once I unload the clean dishes that are already in it.

From the camera....
Ben with his art work at his school art fair.

On my prayer list.....
The victims and their families from all the horrible things that have happened this last week.  Also, my husband as he travels this week.

 Bible verse, Devotional....
Many are the plans of the human heart, but it is the decision of the Lord that endures. ~ Proverbs 20:21

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
