Happy Homemaker Monday

Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather.....

Right now I am....
Watching the kids wrestle and play all over the living room, while Center Stage is on the TV.

Thinking....
About all the housework I have to do... bleh.  Mostly laundry.

On my reading pile....
Swimming to Elba.

On my TV.....
Center Stage right now... later I'm not sure.

Blog hopping (newly discovered blog)....
Confessions of a Homeschooler  They have lots of fun recipes, homemaking tips, and lessons for kids.

On the menu for this week....
I have no idea!  The best I know is that tonight we are having pork chops...

On my to do list....
Laundry
Dishes
Picking up living room and kitchen
Menu plan and grocery list

In the craft basket....
Still nothing at the moment.

Looking forward to this week....
Gardening!!!  Tomorrow, I'm going to pick up some flowers and patio pavers.  I'm so excited.

Looking around the house....
The kids are playing all over the living room.  Rylie is everywhere and into everything today. The house is a mess with a sink full of dishes and laundry in the hallway.

From the camera....

On my prayer list.....
Sandra and her family, as they wait to hear their future.

 Bible verse, Devotional....
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light for my path. ~ Psalm 119:105

Thank you so much for the prayers Liz, we do so appreciate it.

It's hard being in this limbo and not knowing what to do and where to go, I am the kind of person who likes having a plan and being on top of things, so this fly by the seat of my pants is just crazy.

Hope you enjoy your gardening, can't wait to see what you grow :)

Happy Homemaker Monday

As I look outside my window::: So far today, it is cold and gloomy! Right now I am:::  Sitting on the couch under my crocheted afghan. Thinking and pondering::: On Thanksgiving!  What to fix.  I think I'm getting carried away, but I love it.  On my bedside table::: I haven't been doing much reading lately and I should. Duck Commander Family by Willie and Korie Robertson Frozen by Sarah Nathan and Sela Roman On my tv tonight::: American Horror Story Some Doctor Who specials Playing on the radio::: I don't have anything playing right now, but I'm obsessed with James Blunt's new song, Bonfire Heart. The video is amazing too.  I love the story behind the video.  The people in it are NOT actors.  The wedding scene towards the end, he actually crashed a wedding and captured the bride and grooms first dance.  Amazing.  And, not only is his voice and music wonderful, he's a total hottie. On the menu for ...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...
