Happy Homemaker Monday

As I look outside my window:::

Right now I am:::
Finishing a cup of coffee, typing this up, and watching last nights Return to Amish.

Thinking and pondering:::

What I am creating:::

My blanket.  I'm getting so close to being done.

My simple pleasure:::
Cleaning.  I'm not talking about picking up, but I'm talking real, get in there, deep cleaning.

Homemaking tips:::
To get rid of stains from coffee or tea in your mugs, make a paste of baking soda and lemon juice. Put the paste onto the stain and let sit for a while then rinse. (I also use this for stains on my counter tops.)

Looking around the house:::
My house is clean except for the corner where Rylie's toys stay in the living room.  I can't wait to move and not have them in the living room anymore.  Ben and Sydney are laying on the floor behind the couch, by the kitchen watching shows on their iPads.  Rylie, who isn't feeling well, is laying on the couch watching Adventure Time and coughing like crazy.  Scotland, is cuddled up in her boppy on the couch next to me, taking a nap.

From the camera:::
Playing with bubble guns outside.

Prayer List:::
My sister.  My husband as he travels.

Bible verse, Devotional:::
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight ~ Proverbs 3:5-6

Hi Liz,

Sounds like another busy week and weekend! I remember all the weekends when the kids were in elementary school going to birthday parties in between sports and dance!! They went to a small Catholic elementary/middle school and only had classes with 12 or so kids in them in each grade - we all went to everyone's birthday parties! So much fun - like an extended family. I didn't know you were moving, good for you! Hope it all goes smoothly, eventually all those boxed get unpacked, and if they don't get unpacked then you probably don't need the things inside them, lol. You'll probably end up purging things like Sandra is doing. Have a great week - my school year is winding down, looking forward to hanging out this summer with my friends and family.
Take Care,
Mindy

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Happy Homemaker Monday

   As I look outside my window::: So far today, it is cold and gloomy! Right now I am:::  Sitting on the couch under my crocheted afghan. Thinking and pondering::: On Thanksgiving!  What to fix.  I think I'm getting carried away, but I love it.  On my bedside table::: I haven't been doing much reading lately and I should. Duck Commander Family by Willie and Korie Robertson Frozen by Sarah Nathan and Sela Roman On my tv tonight::: American Horror Story Some Doctor Who specials Playing on the radio::: I don't have anything playing right now, but I'm obsessed with James Blunt's new song, Bonfire Heart. The video is amazing too.  I love the story behind the video.  The people in it are NOT actors.  The wedding scene towards the end, he actually crashed a wedding and captured the bride and grooms first dance.  Amazing.  And, not only is his voice and music wonderful, he's a total hottie. On the menu for ...

Blogmas 2014 - Day 13 How Are You Counting Down To Christmas

Ok, honestly....  I'm not.  I have this gorgeous advent calendar that is 3 building with little numbered doors all over them.  I haven't gotten it out for lack of space and really small children.  Maybe next year.  Also, Ben has been all over the lego ones and stuff so I figure, I'll pick up some next year or as I see them now this year, so each kid can have their own next year.  I don't know maybe I'll just make them if I'm feeling crafty and find the time.  It actually hit us all at once on Saturday that Christmas was less than 2 weeks away.
