Currently reading::::
Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin.  Yes, I'm late to the party and I'm obsessed with the shows. I've wanted to read the books for a long time.  Shawn read them a while back and he just bought them for me for my birthday so I can finally enjoy them.

The Fosters on Netflix
I'm sure there is more I'll be catching up on, on my DVR, but who knows what at this point.

The weather outside is::::

New recipe I tried, or want to try this week::::
I'm planning to make and can a big batch of salsa.  I'm so excited.

In the garden::::
My strawberry plant is still kicking out beautiful strawberries and my mint has an amazing aroma and these pretty little flowers coming out of the top.  The butterflies really like my mint.

Favorite photo from the camera::::
My sweet, horse obsessed, daughter got to ride her first pony/horse ever at the fair this weekend.  She was in hog heaven saying "Mommy, me ride horsey!  Horsey so pretty, Mommy!  I love horsey, Mommy!"  It was amazing how excited she was.

Homemaking Tip::::
I don't have any this week, but I'll be checking blogs to pick up a few tips.

Visiting with Blog friends (blog you want to share, blog post that caught your eye)::::
I've been so busy these past couple of weeks, I haven't been able to do much blog reading.  Hopefully I'll get all caught up.

Praying for::::
My family for good health.
Myself for my sanity while we get ready for school to start.

Bible Verse, Devotional that is resonating with me at the moment::::
Lord, help me not to disregard or compete with others in an effort to be number one.  I pray for opportunities to show love to others by helping others get ahead and reach their goals in life.
~ From the book Love Out Loud by Joyce Meyers

I've missed seeing your around, especially now that I'm not on Facebook. BTW, just so you know, I am not returning to Facebook at all, I don't miss it one single bit and am much happier away from it :)

Anyway, I was happy to see you joining in this morning, hope things start slowing down for you.

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
