21 Questions Tag!

Good morning!  I love doing tags like this because I feel that the best way to get to know someone is by asking questions and hearing their answers.  Hopefully this lets you know more about me, especially since some of these questions are a little different than the usual.
1// Are you named after anyone?  I know that Elizabeth is a family name, but I don't know that I was named after anyone specifically.  My middle name Jane though is after my grandma (my mom's mom), Mary Jane.  Since my maiden name was Kerr, it was a running joke that if I had been a boy my name would have been Joseph... making me Joe Kerr. Going through my baby book, I found cards from my baby shower addressed to baby Faye... yup, Faye Kerr.  So witty, my family. Thank goodness they didn't do that, and I didn't marry someone with a last name that made my name seem so unfortunate, like my dad's mom, who married into the Kerr family and became Patty Mae Kerr.
2// When was the last time you cried?  Yesterday, but give it a while and it will be today.  I cry all the time, when I'm happy, sad, or angry, with a friend who is happy, sad, or angry, or to a song or watching TV. It's a real problem.
3// Do you have kids?  4 adorable little monsters!  Ben is 8, Sydney is 5, Rylie is 4, and Scotland is 22 months.
4// If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?  I'd hope so, but I have social anxiety, and am super awkward, so I can be hard to get to know.
5// Do you use sarcasm a lot?  Every day of my life.  I'm an incredibly sarcastic person. Seriously!
6// Will you ever bungee-jump?  By my own choice and decision making, nope!! I don't enjoy heights at all. It's like a real pee myself sort of fear, although, you never know. If my kids begged me, it might happen. They've gotten me on numerous ferris wheels, so who knows.
7// What’s your favourite cereal?  Corn pops or cinnamon toast crunch. I could eat either one for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.  Yum!
8// What’s the first thing you notice about people? Appearance wise, probably eyes. But I always look for a sense of humor.
9// What is your eye colour?  They change color often.  Depending on the day and what I'm wearing they may be green, blue, or grey.
10// Scary movie or happy ending?  Happy ending!!! I don't typically enjoy scary movies, as the fear doesn't stay with the movie. It follows me around at night.
11// Favourite smells? The rain! I don't know what it is, but the smell of rain is absolutely amazing. Also, fresh coffee.  This morning, I walked in the door after a school run, and the smell of fresh coffee hit me in the face and I automatically let out a happy sigh.
12// Summer or winter?  Summer! I hate the cold, although I do love sweaters. I love being outside with the family whether it's doing yard work, playing a sport, or at the park.
13// Computer or television?  Can I say both.  I'm a bit addicted to them both.
14// What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home?  Probably the trip we took to the Bahamas and Virgin Islands.
15// Do you have any special talents?  Not really.  I'm pretty much talentless anywhere it counts. I used to play the flute and was pretty awesome at it. Now my talents include being able to touch my nose with my tongue and doing cartwheels or the splits, although I do need assistance getting back up from the splits.
16// Where were you born?  I was born and raised in Kansas City, different areas of the KC metro, but KC all the same.
17// What are your hobbies?  Reading, crocheting, cooking, crafting of all sorts, photography and my blog and vlog.
18// Do you have any pets?  Yes, we have our 10 year old lab Maya.  She doesn't realize she's about 100 pounds and will climb right into your lap. She's pretty much one of the kids.
19// Favourite movie?  Love Actually, It's Complicated, The Holiday, the Bridget Jones movies. I'm such a girl.
20// Do you have any siblings? I have a sister who is 3 1/2 years younger than me and a brother who is 12 years younger than me.
21// What exactly do you want to be when you grow up? Oh goodness, I don't know. When I was growing up I always thought I would be a doctor, later, that dream changed.  I thought I wanted to be a psychiatrist, a musician, an interior designer, and a chef. That's the joy about being a mom.  I get to do all of that right here in my home! It's like I was destined to be a mom, wife, and homemaker. Maybe someday I'll go out and open my own restaurant, but even if I don't, I'm completely content living the life I have.  I love my life.

Hopefully this helped you to get to know me a little better. If you want to participate, comment with the link to your answers so I can get to know you a little better too!

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
