Exhausted By Friday!

It's Friday!!!  Yay!  I love my kids, but between taking care of them and the house as well as taking Ben to and from school, doctor's appointments, etc, I am beyond worn out!  I've said it before, and I'll say it again.  I don't know how mothers with full time jobs outside of the home do it.  At the end of every day, I'm completely exhausted so I can't imagine adding 40+ hours at a job on top of my normal stuff.  Ugh, just thinking about it is wearing me out.

Thank goodness for my coffee or I don't know how I would manage it all.

The kids have all been sick.  It's been pretty much every symptom in the book, but last Friday evening, Sydney started breaking out in hives.  I'm not talking a tiny pin point rash, I'm talking huge welts.  We took her to the doctor only to hear that her body is having an allergic reaction to the virus she has... Weird.

I've been working on a hexagon blanket in bed, for the past several nights.

I'm pretty excited about it, but that's not all I've been working on this week.

I made the apron I've been planning on making since I bought all this pretty fabric.  I know the colors and prints seem a little busy, but for some reason, I like busy.  Of course I had to model it.

Also, since I read Sandra's blog religiously and she has so many good ideas, I've been busy using things in my fridge that were about to turn.

I've also been busy in the kitchen doing lots and lots of cooking.

Don't there has been lots of fun time with the kids too.

Ben seems to have fallen in love with mine craft.  Like father, like son, I suppose.

And of course books!  Lots and lots of books.  I haven't really been reading anything lately.  Not for myself anyway, but I've been reading bunches to the kids.

And they read to themselves too.  Rylie is my little book girl.

Alright, now that my week is all caught up, I'm off to cuddle some babies, watch some tv, and maybe get a little creative.

Ugh kids being sick is awful. But hey, Rylie's hives are not that weird, Nicholas got hives when he had pneumonia, and they were HUGE all over his body, welts, red, very itchy and he was miserable.

We did lots of bath with Aveeno Soothing Bath Treatment and he loved it, helped a lot.

Hope she feels better soon.

Love your orange garland and the simmering scents too :)

Hope you have a good relaxing weekend.

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
