Happy Homemaker Monday

I'm a little late posting this today.  I got up, and got right to work since I wasn't sure what time we'd be heading to the doctor for my sick kiddo today.

The Weather:::
Right now, it is 49 degrees.

Right now I am:
Getting up to get bread dough started.

Thinking:
I'm exhausted and a nap would have been nice.  Maybe an early bed time instead.

On my reading pile:::
Still not reading anything at the moment.

On my tv:::
Maybe some Doctor Who later...

Favorite Blog post this week (mine or other):::

The Nerd Nest - Finish  She talks about how she and her husband set a mantra for the year and stick to it.  Really admirable and something I'm thinking about doing.

Something fun to share:::
My sister led me to this fun blog a few weeks ago.  I've been so enjoying it.  She's so crafty and creative and has and adorable little family.

On the menu for this week:::

Monday - Egg Sandwiches
Tuesday - Pork tenderloin
Wednesday - Chicken Potpies
Thursday -  Spaghetti
Friday -
Saturday -
Sunday -

On my to do list:::
Laundry
Upstairs Bathroom
Bake bread
Kitchen floor
Dishes

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
About to knock out an apron if I get an hour or two, and last night I started a hexagon blanket.

Homemaking Tips:::
I don't really have a tip this week except this really cute idea for Simmering Scents from Sandra's blog .  I got crazy making all kinds of fun creations yesterday and love how good they make my house smell.

Looking around the house:::
Rylie is napping in her carseat and the kids are resting in their beds.  I'm sitting at the kitchen table and the bread machine is kneading away while I look at the open dishwasher about to put the clean dishes away.

From the camera:::

Poor Ben was so upset about not being able to blow his Grandpa's candles all by himself.  Kids get so upset over the silliest things sometimes.

On my prayer list:::
Anyone at the moment who needs it.

Bible verse, Devotional:::

We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us.  God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him. ~ 1 John 4:16

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
