And So the Travel Begins Again.

Shawn has been in his new job for about 4 months now.  His last job kept him away to the point that we saw him 2-3 days a week.  Usually on the weekend and maybe one day during the week, although he missed a lot of fun weekend things too.  I knew when he took the job there would be travel, but I didn't realize how much there would be.  This job seemed like a saving grace because they said, while there would be travel, there would be so much less.  This so far has been a promise well kept, since today is his first overnight trip, and he'll be back tomorrow.  This, however, isn't so easy for the kids who seem to still suffer PTSD from his last job.

Today, we're just going to do what we can to get them through this, so they can see that it isn't like last time. As I type this, the kids are getting ready to go to Laugh Out Loud so they can run around and burn off some energy.  I'm thinking about picking up a movie this evening and debating whether to stick to the menu plan or make a kids favorite meal.  Maybe we'll even do frozen pizza... who knows.

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...
