Happy Homemaker Monday

I finally got my laptop fixed and home, so now I get to join back into HHM and I couldn't be more excited!

Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather.....It appears it's going to be warm, but reasonable!

Right now I am....Sitting on the couch yawning away!

Thinking....How tired I am, and I'm hoping the kids go to bed early tonight.  Also, how much I have to do before our vacation.

On my reading pile....Duggars 20 and counting!

On my TV.....Desperate Housewives

What I found while surfing the net....Nothing since I've not really had opportunities to surf.

On the menu for this week....This week is really funky as we are leaving for vacation Wednesday evening, so we are eating what we have in the fridge instead of grocery shopping and having food go bad.

Monday - Pizza
Tuesday -  Melt in your mouth chicken
Wednesday - Something pasta with groundbeef probably
Thursday - Vacation
Friday - Vacation
Saturday - Vacation
Sunday - Vacation

On my to do list....
The next two days are busy busy busy!  I have laundry and dishes to do (of course) then...
Get Ben's birth certificate from Topeka
Take Sydney to the doctor
Get Ben and Sydney enrolled in their schools
Finish packing

In the craft basket....At this moment nothing, just my blanket I haven't had the chance to work on lately.

Looking forward to this week....VACATION!  We are going to Eureka Springs, Arkansas and Table Rock Lake.

Looking around the house....It's a bit of a mess, as it usually is at this time of evening.  Toys and such are thrown about.  There is laundry waiting in the hallway to wash, and a basket already folded needing to be put away on my bed.  I have a sink full of dishes needing to be put in the dishwasher.  The girls are goofily playing together in the playpen next to me and Ben is cuddled up with me watching some lego movie on Netflix.  Our new little kitten Harley Quinn is playing in the window.

From the camera....
My three favorite things in this whole world!

On my prayer list.....
My husband's grandmother as she continues to be sick and has an appointment with an oncologist this week.

Bible verse, Devotional....
"Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself.  Sufficient for a day is its own evil." Matthew 6:34

I hope you check out the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs. There's also a beautiful garden somewhere downtown there.

Thank you Debbie. I'm hoping to get as much done as possible. You have a great week also.

Cassie, I didn't remember to look for Crescent Hotel. Dang it. It looks beautiful in the photos. We'll at least have to go by and see it. We are staying at Basin Park which looks pretty amazing, but I'm not really sure what we are planning on doing while we are there. Just kind of flying by the seats of our pants. Haha!

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
