Happy Homemaker Monday

I know this is a little late in the day but I have been busy and am feeling under the weather.

Breakfast time....what is on the plate this morning::::
Orange Mango juice and a bavarian cream filled donut.

On today's to do list::::
  1. Laundry- I need to wash my comforter
  2. Get Ben's hair cut.
  3. Dishes
Currently reading::::
Game of Thrones by George R R Martin

On the TV today::::
Life Unexpected on Netflix

The weather outside is::::
Right now it's sunny but it was quite cloudy and gloomy this morning.

On the menu this week::::
I have gotten very behind on meal planning and grocery shopping.  I'm really hoping to get better soon.

Monday - Grilled chicken sausages
Tuesday - Frozen Pizzas
Wednesday -
Thursday -
Friday -
Saturday -
Sunday -

If I have a few minutes to myself, I will::::
Get some rest!  I barely slept last night and am not feeling too well.

New recipe I tried, or want to try this week::::
I'm going to have to get looking for new recipes.  I've been so behind, but now with school starting again this week, hopefully routine will set in, and my home cooking will get exciting and new again, instead of quick old go tos.

In the garden::::
Well, my lawn needs mowed, to start with, and my mint looks amazing!  My plants are all really doing pretty well, but I don't have too many.

Favorite photo from the camera::::
I just love those eyes!  She's such a sweet baby.

Homemaking Tip::::
I can't think of anything.  Well, I did pick up some lavender satchel bag things from the lavender farm at the farmer's market.  I put it in my dryer with the laundry and it makes everything smell amazing with a gentle lavender smell, that isn't too overwhelming.

Visiting with Blog friends (blog you want to share, blog post that caught your eye)::::
I still have been a lousy blog lately.  I promise, I have every intention of diving back in, to all of the good posts you all have been writing.

Praying for::::
Shawn, for safe travels this week.
Ben, as he starts his first day of FIRST GRADE on Wednesday!
Myself, to start feeling better quickly.

Bible Verse, Devotional that is resonating with me at the moment::::
The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. ~ Psalm 118:14

I'm sorry you're not feeling very well, hope you're not coming down with something.

Lots of kiddos starting school this week, we officially start on the 25th so still have a little to go, and that is fine with me.

I hope you have a great week and that Ben has a good first day of school.

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
