Happy Homemaker Monday

I promise, I'm still alive and kicking over here.  My laptop charger bit the big one so I've been patiently waiting for a new one.  I have one now and am back.

Breakfast time....what is on the plate this morning::::
Coffee and an almond croissant blossom from Starbucks.

Looking around the house::::
My kitchen counters have piles of crap all over them that I need to go through, the table is covered in Legos, and the sink is full of dirty dishes.  My hallway is filled with piles of dirty laundry and baskets of clean laundry to fold and put away.  I have a lot to get done.  Slowly yet surely...

On today's to do list::::
Laundry.....Plenty to wash, dry, fold, and put away.
Cleaning.....My kitchen needs a complete overhaul!
Meal planning.....And making a grocery list
Dance

Currently reading::::
Game of Thrones by George RR Martin.  I sadly haven't had much time for reading lately.

On the TV today::::
I have no idea!

The weather outside is::::
Amazing!  It's sunny and the high is in the low 70s.  I love it!

On the menu this week::::
I don't know yet.

Take a breather, read, crochet, or maybe even blog.  Hahaha!

New recipe I tried, or want to try this week::::
I'll get back to you on this, since I have to work on my meal plan and I haven't been doing much cooking lately.

One of my simple pleasures::::
Sitting outside in the evening and looking at the stars and moon.

Favorite photo from the camera::::

Visiting with Blog friends (blog you want to share, blog post that caught your eye)::::
I haven't had time lately, but I hope to get back on that.

Praying for::::
Praying for my friend Sandra as she goes through some tough family times.
Praying for my brother-in-law who is going through some scary health and life things.
Praying for my sister as she sits by her husband/ex husband/whatever he is 's side non stop.

Bible Verse, Devotional that is resonating with me at the moment::::

I love your scripture! Sometimes it is easier said than done.

I am so bad when it comes to meal planning. Its really not that hard I just always have to force myself to do it.

I hope you have a great week!

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
