Happy Homemaker Monday

Breakfast time....what is on the plate this morning::::
I'm currently enjoying a very large coffee and a handful of cheezits.

Looking around the house::::
My house is pretty alright even though I just cleaned up the bathroom floor.  Rylie thought Barbie's swimming pool needed real water in it.  Needless to say, Barbie's pool isn't really meant to hold water.  I have very large pile of laundry to wash dry and put away but other than that it's not too bad here.

On today's to do list::::
Laundry.....I have a couple of loads to wash, dry, and put away.
Dance..... Tonight, Sydney has dance class.
Cooking.... Easy dinner tonight to avoid a late night after dance.
Phone calls.... I have a few phone calls to make for Ben's school's dines out program.  I have 2 restaurants and an activity place to book.

Currently reading::::
Game of Thrones by George R R Martin

On the TV today::::
--  Law and Order SVU
--  Gracepoint
--  Hart of Dixie

The weather outside is::::
It's a cold and rainy day today.  I'm loving it!  Wonderful fall day!

On the menu this week::::

Monday

Grilled cheese and tomato soup

Tuesday
Pizza

Wednesday
Cheesy Chicken soup with Rosemary Bread

Thursday
German Pancakes with Buttermilk syrup

Friday

Chicken pot pie

Saturday
Mac & Cheese Soup

Sunday
Savory Beef and Noodles

If I have a few minutes to myself, I will::::
Crochet or read.  I haven't had any time for that lately but I'm hoping to.

New recipe I tried, or want to try this week::::
I'm not sure.  I haven't really been looking lately.  I've been so busy.

One of my simple pleasures::::
Sitting down with a nice, big, warm cup of Earl Grey while watching some much loved TV shows from Netflix or my DVR.

Favorite photo from the camera::::
Last night, Scotland was up in the middle of the night.  Shawn and I were getting ready for bed, and Shawn thought it would be cute to see what she could do with the iPad.  He turned out the drum app and the piano app and let her go at them.  Her little baby mind was blown when she saw that she could make noise by touching the piano keys or the individual drums.

Visiting with Blog friends (blog you want to share, blog post that caught your eye)::::
Nothing, for now, but hopefully next week I will.

Praying for::::
Continued prayers for my friend Sandra and her family.
Praying for my husband and I as we are beginning the very long process of buying a house.  Only in the beginning stages and haven't found the perfect house yet, but are hoping to buy in the months after Christmas.

Bible Verse, Devotional that is resonating with me at the moment::::

So nice seeing a HHM from you :)

I love the picture of Scotland, soooo cute, can't believe how big she is.

I watched the original UK version of Gracepoint and it was brilliant, so I'm not watching Gracepoint this time around :)

Hope you're having a wonderful week and thank you again for always being so very sweet with me.
Hugs,
Sandra

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
