Happy Homemaker Monday

Good morning, or night rather since I'm getting to this so late... Oops. It's been a busy day.  Alright, lets get right to it, shall we?

Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather:::
Today was a bit rainy but the rest of this week is supposed to be quite cold.

On my reading pile:::
Dragonfly in Amber (2nd Outlander book) by Diana Gabaldon

On my TV:::
I've mostly just been watching vlogs as I get my housework done but am hoping to catch an episode of Westworld with the hubby before bed.

On the menu for this week:::
Monday -  Spaghetti, salad, garlic bread
Tuesday - Beef stew and homemade bread
Wednesday - Chicken chili
Thursday - Chicken with veggies.
Friday -
Saturday -
Sunday -

On my to do list:::
Still to do is folding laundry.

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
I've got to make the name thingys to go over the girls beds.  Ben has one with his name and Scotland has one with her name, but Sydney and Rylie don't have them yet.  Their room has now officially been painted so it needs to happen. Shawn told me that is my chore for tomorrow.  Finally a fun chore. Hahaha!

Looking around the house:::
Just finished picking up, washing dishes, etc.  Have to get this giant pile of laundry folded and I can go to bed.

From the camera:::
My siblings and I on Christmas day.

Something fun to share:::
Next week, I'll be going on a short girls trip with my mom and sister.  It'll be my first time being away from my babies over night, which I'm dreading.  I'll be gone for 3 nights. My little brother is graduating from basic training with the Army National Guard.

What I'm wearing today:::
Today, I wore a pair of jeggings and a large purple sweater. Nice and comfy for a cool rainy day.

One of my simple pleasures:::
Snuggles with my littles. I think everyone can agree.  There is nothing better than cuddles from your little ones, especially as they grow bigger and too cool for their mommas.

Bible verse, Devotional:::
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.  ~ Ecclesiastes 3:11

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
