And the baby is...

So we had our sono today.  I'm super excited to announce that we are having a girl.  I was surprised to find out how badly Shawn wants a girl.  Don't get me wrong, we'd be extremely happy to be having a boy too but now we'll have one of each.  Ben doesn't quite understand yet although he was there for the ultrasound.  He kept kissing my belly throughout the whole thing. Update:  Apparently Ben does understand.  He was eating his dinner and I asked him if he's going to have a little sister and he nodded his head yes and lifted up my shirt to point at my belly.

The pumpkin patch

Yesterday, we went to this cute little pumpkin patch in Bonner Springs called the Kerby Farm Pumpkin Patch.  Ben had a blast.  He loved all the animals and just running wild like a mad man.  It was pretty cheap, lots of fun,  and we got some massive pumpkins there too. Here is the link to the pumpkin patch: http://www.kerbypumpkinpatch.com/ Ben loved the pigs the most, although he called all the animals cows. Granny was showing him the corn in the corn maze. Ben the Cowboy.                                        Riding back to the car on top of the giant pumpkins.

halloween store

So, a couple of weekends ago, my mother in law and I took Ben to Target. We went looking for some Halloween decorations. A week or so before this Shawn put on a mask in Walmart that scared Ben into hysterics. I thought that some of the decorations would scare him at Target because of his reaction to the mask. He loved everything but his favorite was the big life sized scary guy that talked when you pushed a button. This gave me the idea to take him to the Halloween store out here. He was so funny at the store. He loved everything except the life sized zombies that crawled across the floor. He wasn't too sure about those but he still laughed at them as he gripped onto your legs so it was a fun scared at least. At one point I thought we were going to be leaving with this creepy guy that when you touched him he shook. It gave me the heeby jeebies but Ben loved it and didn't want to leave without it. Isn't it funny what kids are and aren't scared of? This weeke
