Attempting to be a Super Mom

Hope everyone is having a wonderful St. Patrick's Day if you are celebrating and if you don't, hope you are having a wonderful day.  I know that I am. Last night, the big two kids spent most of the night in our bed kicking, tossing and turning, and laying sideways or wedging underneath us.  It was a long night.  At about 5:30 I almost gave up on sleeping but knew that by the time the first mass started at 8:30, I would not be in very good shape after going to bed only 4-5 hours before, so finally I fell back to sleep.  At 8:30 my alarm went off and both Rylie and Ben woke up.  I didn't want to leave the comfort of my bed, or my snuggly babies so I pushed it as long as I possibly could.  Finally I got up and dressed in my green, brushed my teeth and my hair, put on a little make up and ran out the door.  I was nice and early to mass as I always try to be.  Sometimes that Northex can get quite crowded and I like to get a good spot to sit, near...

Last week was St. Patrick's Day, and this was the first time, we've gone to the St. Patrick's Day parade out here.  Last year, Sydney was only 8 days old and I felt like it was to chilly and I would have been too overwhelmed to take a 2 year old and a week old baby down to a busy parade.  This year, the weather was amazing, and Shawn was able to take a little break from work to come with us.  We really had a great time and I'm excited to do more things like that with the family. We all got dressed up in our St. Patrick's Day green.  I just LOVE this picture of my two little sweethearts. Ben is the biggest goof ball! Before the parade, the kids and I walked down to Borders, which is going out of business, and bought a bunch of books.  I do have a slight book addiction and I think I'm passing it on to my kids.  After Borders, we did a quick diaper change in the car and sat down for a nice little snack. So we've had a great day.  I don't know why I was so worried about Shawn's first day back at work.  Last night however, was not as pleasant.  While we were sleeping, Ben accidentally head butted my nose.  It's nice and bruised and swollen now.  Oh how it hurts.  Ok, enough of my complaining. I dressed my kiddos in their green outfits for St. Patrick's Day nice and early and decided I'd better take their pictures ASAP.  We all know young children have a tendency to ruin their clothing pretty quickly especially if you are wanting to take their picture or the clothing to last all day. This evening we went to Walmart to search for St. Patrick's day clothing for the kiddos and I was completely disappointed in their lack of options.  By options, I mean that I saw t-shirts for boys to big for Ben and nothing for anyone smaller than those shirts, boy or girl.  It was pathetic.  We ended up just getting Ben a green and blue, soccer, jogging suit and Sydney a green and white pair of pants to go with a green and white onsie she already has. I was also looking for paper and pom poms for our craft tomorrow.  I couldn't find the large sized pom poms that included purple or paper for watercolors.  I guess we'll have to do with out the purple pom poms and using regular paper for painting tomorrow.  We have yet to paint.  I think the project I'm going to attempt tomorrow with Ben may be a little bit over his head but that's ok.  I may end up painting for the project and letting him just paint on his own... whatever he wants.  It doesn...
