Should I Be Doing Something?

This is the question I keep asking myself today... Should I be doing something? The summer and even the last few months have been so busy.  I spent many days feeling like I was drowning, but seeing the joy and excitement on my kids faces kept me going.  The life of a stay at home mom is more insane than I ever imagined it to be.  I spend my days driving kids to and from school, soccer, dance, art classes, and anywhere else they need to be.  Then, there is the housework. My house has been a pig sty for the last several months.  Thank goodness my husband is so understanding and helpful.  He's jumped in, helping with more loads of laundry and dishes than I'd care to admit. This last week though, I've been up on the housework.  I've had time in my day to get things done and I don't really know where it came from.  All week my house has looked quite clean, lived in, but clean. This morning, after dropping the kids off at school, I came home, folded...

Exhausted But Here

I'm here I'm here I'm here!  I didn't forget you I promise!  Honestly, life has been even more crazy than usual lately.  It's summer which means that our usual routine has flown out the window.  Our kids at school so I can get stuff done isn't happening, so I spend my days cleaning up messes that my cute little monsters continue to make, washing lots and lots of laundry, doing lots of fun activities, and sleeping very little. In the meantime, if you're interested, I've also decided that maybe vlogging would be fun.  It's quite intimidating, but I like the thought of these videos of our fun stuff being around fo...

Bugs!

Ok, I've been meaning to do this post for a little while now.  As I type this, my cute little monsters are running and playing and having a good time at Laugh Out Loud while I sit and watch as well. So, a couple of weeks ago, an ad came up on my Facebook for Xtreme Bugs, an exhibit at Union Station in Kansas City.  I'm not a fan of bugs really.  I don't like them in my house and I really dislike anything that bites or stings. I don't know why this caught my attention, because usually I just scroll past ads, but something about this one had me look further.  After going to the website I saw that the cost was much cheaper than most of the other exhibits they host.  We decided to make a whole day out of it and do Science City and lunch at Union Station as well and went, not last Saturday but the Saturday before.  The girls and I even watched Bugs Life, the week before, in preparation. First I have to tell you how beautiful Union Station is!  It's so a...
