Should Be Doing Housework...

But I'd rather blog.  To be fair I've done quite a bit today and now I'm thinking of recipes to post and updates on the stuff I've been up to, which isn't really anything other than what I'm usually doing... Here's what I have to look forward to when I'm done blogging.  Laundry... blech! Also, poor Mr. Unicorn is in need of Dr. Mom. I feel like I spend the majority of my time being Dr. Mom to my Destructo kid's toys.  Ben and Sydney watch this show called Doc McStuffin and she is able to fix all of these toys and somehow my kids think I'm able to do that.  Mr. Unicorns open belly is not a problem, but when pieces come off of Ben's Transformers and he thinks I can just glue them back on, I'm totally lost.  Some toys can be just glued back together but can Transformers? My blanket is coming along nicely and I'm almost done.  My kids have already voiced that they want their own so I went to Walmart and stocked up on beautifu...

I Thought Life Would Slow Down... Joke's On Me.

Well last week was quite a week!  Thankfully this week is much slower.  I still have so much going on, even when it's slow though.  Between house work and 3 kids and my husband with his schedule and travel, I feel like  I could use a few extra hours in the day or maybe just two more hands.  Haha!  Maybe I could hire a maid just for folding and putting away the laundry.  That's my least favorite job in the house.  It takes forever, it's monotonous, and it's pretty much a never ending job.   Over the last week or week and a half we've done lots of fun stuff, to balance out all the work, I've had to do.   We've done a lot of planting.  I love flowers and who doesn't love growing some of their own produce.  Also, Shawn got some baby dog wood trees from his work so we had to plant those.  The kids were big helpers, especially Ben. It's been about a week and a half and they look so beautifu...

I'm still here

I feel like everything gets in the way of my blog time.  I need to just get a new lap top and make the time for it.  My husband's computer seems to be the only option I've had lately.  I have a desktop in the bedroom but it's not easy to escape there with my children.  Also, I've been so busy that I feel I've hardly been at home for the past week or more.   The end of December and January are full of important days that keep us running to Kansas City and back.  Also, with the baby coming in a little over 3 weeks, there are plenty of doctor's appointments to attend.  I feel like I'm so exhausted and have no time to sleep.  Even now, as I type this, I should be sleeping.  It's 1:30 in the morning here and I'm so sore I cannot get comfortable to sit down, lay down, or sleep.   I'm pretty much the size of a planet... The worst part about this picture, is that it was taken a couple of weeks ago, so I'm even bigger now.  I don't walk,...

What a crazy, wonderful, life we live

I can't believe how hectic things are here.  I'm really enjoying it all though, and I must say that I have the two most precious children in the whole world and they keep me well entertained. This week the weather was so hot that I cut out park trips all but two days.  Between the air conditioner being out on the car and the heat both inside and out of the car, it was just too uncomfortable and probably not very safe either. Tuesday, Shawn mowed the lawn at our old house.  I can't even begin to tell you how tall the grass was there.  It hadn't been mowed since we moved out.  Our mower was trying to cause trouble as well. Wednesday, we had our biweekly dinner with our friends Tim and Rebekah, but this time we did it at our house.  I made the tortellini salad since Shawn was so eager to show it off to people.  It was really good (not to toot my own horn or anything)!  Also, on Wednesday, my bes...
