Should Be Doing Housework...

But I'd rather blog.  To be fair I've done quite a bit today and now I'm thinking of recipes to post and updates on the stuff I've been up to, which isn't really anything other than what I'm usually doing...

Here's what I have to look forward to when I'm done blogging.  Laundry... blech!

Also, poor Mr. Unicorn is in need of Dr. Mom.

I feel like I spend the majority of my time being Dr. Mom to my Destructo kid's toys.  Ben and Sydney watch this show called Doc McStuffin and she is able to fix all of these toys and somehow my kids think I'm able to do that.  Mr. Unicorns open belly is not a problem, but when pieces come off of Ben's Transformers and he thinks I can just glue them back on, I'm totally lost.  Some toys can be just glued back together but can Transformers?
My blanket is coming along nicely and I'm almost done.  My kids have already voiced that they want their own so I went to Walmart and stocked up on beautiful bright yarn so I can make them some.  Sadly I spent $70 ish on yarn...  I may have gotten carried away, but I can't help it.  Haha!

My wonderful Aunt Marci sent me an Amazon gift card for my birthday and I bought some new books I'm looking forward to reading, but for now... I'm reading the 50 Shades of Grey series.  I'm on book two as I finished the first book in three days.  They are really pretty good even though the dom/sub stuff is pretty lost on me...  I'm not judging anyone who is into it, but (sorry if this is TMI) I am most definitely not.

I'm hoping to find the time this evening to make laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent.  I bought all of the stuff I need for both, so I'm excited to do that.

I feel the need to write everything we do or have coming up in my planner.  I was just talking to my Uncle about this.  I'd be so lost with out my planner.  Here's this weeks schedule alone.  I did block out locations for some events from tomorrow to protect my family and I.  While I'm a very trusting person, you can never be too careful.  I have no problem posting about something after the fact but giving exact times and locations of where I'll be makes us targets...  Does anybody else have things like this that they use to help keep everything organized?

Alright, better get busy posting my recipes so I can get my house work done and dinner started...  I'm a busy busy lady.

Potato Soup

During Lent this last spring, I needed a meat free dinner to feed my sister-in-law and her family. Usually my potato soup has lots of bacon and bacon grease in it. I found this recipe here .This one is meatless, but it is important to add that it is NOT dairy free. There are adjustments you can do to make it dairy free though. It’s quick and was really well liked.  Potato Soup 6-8 cups russet potatoes, peeled and chopped 1 yellow onion, diced 2 stalks celery, chopped 1 clove garlic 4 cups vegetable stock 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded 1/2 cup sour cream or cream 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper Pinch red pepper flakes 1 tbsp butter 1 tbsp olive oil In a large pot over medium heat, add the butter and olive oil. Once hot and melted together add the onions and celery. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Add the potatoes and minced garlic to the pot and continue to sauté all of the ingredients for about 5 minutes. Add vegetable stock and increase th
