Attempting to be a Super Mom

I've been getting crafty here.  Maybe it's all the Fixer Upper and Property Brothers the kids and I have been watching.  Living in a rental, there is only so much we can do, but painting picture frames and decorating around the house, I can definitely do.  It's been fun, and I have a few big ones left to go. Here's the finished products of what I've been working on for the past couple of days. The kids have also been working around here too, but for Valentine's day.   And I've been working on my corner to corner blanket any chance I get.

Life is starting to slow down!!!  I never thought I would be saying that.  Now that dance is done until the summer camp in August and Ben's t-ball practices have decreased to once a week, we have a lot more free time.  Unfortunately though, the kids are feeling it too, and don't know what to do with their new found time and freedom, which means lots of acting out and fighting. Between the internet and my mommy/wife books, I'm working on some new discipline ideas. I've even learned, thanks to Jo Frost, Supernanny, that it's ok to put my 2 year old, who is determined to run away, on a leash.  I don't know that I will, but seriously, I always judged people with their kids on leashes until dealing with little miss runaway.  Rylie drives me absolutely bonkers when we are in public.  She runs away every opportunity she gets, everywhere we go.  She climbs out of the harness on the stroller, and I'm not talking just the lap belt, she wriggles free from yo...

What a week this is... I am stressed beyond belief, but I'm trying to stay relaxed and take as much time for myself and snuggles with the kiddos to avoid feeling overwhelmed. We found out recently that we will be moving next door.  It's just like the place we are currently living except it has an extra bedroom.  Lord knows, we need the extra bedroom, although the kids are still sleeping in the same rooms.  Ben and Sydney will be sharing a room and Rylie and Scotland will be in the room with Shawn and I for now.  We'll use the downstairs bedrooms as a playroom and office.  I can't wait to have room for the kids in their room, because their toys are elsewhere.  We gave Ben the option of his own room or to share with Sydney.  He wanted his own room, but didn't want to be on a different floor than us, so he's happy to stay with Sydney for now. I need to get started on packing.  We have so much stuff.  That's what life as a pack rat with 4 kid...
