Lately?

I know, I've been neglectful again.  Truth is, outside of birthday planning and party throwing, life has been pretty normal and calm.  We've been battling a cold and apparently a stomach bug as well for the past week or two.  Ben's the only one with the stomach bug though, and Rylie and Shawn are the only two who have managed to avoid the head and chest cold. I'm typing this from my couch in my pajamas still (at noon) with cup of coffee carefully balanced in my lap and a stack of unused tissues on my knee.  I'm waiting for my cold meds to kick in, so we can get up and do what we need to for the day. I do have laundry going and I've vacuumed the floor, but purely out of necessity.  The cat must be angry with me, for either the dog taking over her territory and being inside the actual house way more than normal, because I shut her out of the bedroom the past couple of nights, or because she feels neglected by me because of my attention to Scotland.  She sho

Happy Homemaker Monday

Good morning everyone!  I suppose it's almost noon though.  Hope everyone is having an alright day.  I personally am feeling a bit under the weather.  Shawn doesn't have work today, well, because he's an unemployed bum for a day and starts his new job tomorrow.  He'll be in Boston all week, which unless you've been living under a rock for the whole winter season and particularly the last few weeks, I don't have to tell you that I'm worried about him getting in and out of Boston.  Hahaha!  Alright, lets get to it.  Here's my Happy Homemaker Monday post. The weather outside is:::: It's so cold right now! And it appears it will be all week long... On the breakfast plate this morning:::: Blueberry oatmeal with a banana cut up in it, half of a pear cut into slices, a plum, a glass of mighty mango juice and a cup of coffee with Italian sweet cream creamer.  A fruit filled brekky. As I look outside my window::: The sky is white inste

Happy Homemaker Monday

Happy Monday!  Woke up this morning, still completely exhausted.  Obviously it was another rough night for me when it comes to sleeping. I just can't seem to sleep well lately, and that's with the kids sleeping through most of the night.  So, cheers to a day full of coffee to keep me going.  Hope you all are having a better start than I am.  Alright, on to Happy Homemaker Monday. The weather outside is:::: It was so wonderful this weekend.  I mean 60 degree weather! It's going to be a tad cooler this week but still a little warm for the season. On the breakfast plate this morning:::: A cup of coffee with the last of my Cinnamon vanilla creamer, toast with a little lemon curd on top, and a clementine.  As I look outside my window::: It's so gloomy and cloudy right now.  Everything is brown and it's sort of miserable, although if I didn't have to go anywhere today and could lay in bed or on the couch and watch movies while drinking coffee,

Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather outside is:::: Cold!!! It's about 5 degrees right now, but the windchill is -8.   On the breakfast plate this morning:::: I've not had anything yet.  I'm thinking about a bowl of oatmeal with some banana, a coffee, and some green machine. As I look outside my window::: It just looks cold.  The ground is coated in frost and a tiny bit of snow. If only I didn't have to leave the house today. Right now I am:::: Snuggled up on my couch, watching the Today show, and just trying to keep warm.  Typing up this blog post and dreaming about coffee. As I look around the house:::: The house is pretty well taken care of although Scotland did just dump her tote of diaper wipe packages and diaper cream all over my living room.  Sydney is laying on the chair on her iPad watching the Office.  Rylie is still asleep upstairs in her room and I can hear Maya snoring in the kitchen.   On today's to do list:::: Laundry ....I'm going to throw a
