Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather in my neck of the woods: Hot and humid.  Pretty much miserable to be outside in. Things that make me happy:   Getting a decent night's sleep.  Especially when Sydney stays in her bed all night.   Book I'm reading:   Sliding into Home by Kendra Wilkinson What's on my TV today:   Tonight, The Closer and Part 1 of the Real Housewives of New York Reunion On the menu for dinner: Pancakes On my To Do List: I've gotten pretty much everything done. Make beds Stay cool New Recipe I tried or want to try soon: It's been so hot that my cooking has been kept at an easy few recipes that don't heat up the house, but there are plenty of yummy looking recipes I'd like to try. In the craft basket: Hoping to get my old doll house from my family soon and I'm going to start making fun things for it.  The kids will have a blast. This Summer Is Flying By

Is it really true?  I haven't blogged since last month?  That's insane!  Well, I'm going to do my best to catch up on everything fun we've been doing since last time. This summer I seem to have gotten a strange reaction to the heat.  I find myself sick to my stomach almost every afternoon and evening.  I think it's because the AC on our home does not keep up at all and the house is usually at 80 ish degrees.  I know, that doesn't seem like a lot to some people, but in this house, to me, that's hot.  It's so hot that this stay at home chef doesn't want to cook anything for fear of making the house even hotter.  I'm dying for some delicious homemade moist bread or lemon blueberry muffins, but I don't want to turn the oven on. We've been spending a lot of time at my mother and father-in-law's home, and swimming in their pool.  One day, it was so hot even in the pool that they bought almost 40 10lb blocks of ice and put them in the poo
