Lots of Exciting Changes

We are going through a lot of changes as a family right now.  If you haven't been living under a rock somewhere, you know by now that I'm obviously pregnant.  The baby will be here on Valentine's Day unless she decides to come early (lets hope not), so that's 2 1/2 months away. We are in the middle of the crazy holiday season. I'm excited for Christmas, but I think most people are, especially when you have young kids who are just starting to get it.  Ben is so excited for all things Christmas and both of the kids won't leave our Christmas tree alone. If you can't find the kids, they can usually be found laying underneath the tree.  This is our first year doing a fake tree.  Usually we go to a Christmas tree farm and pick one out, but because last year, Ben had some allergic reactions to our tree, we decided it would be better to go fake from now on.  At first I was sad to not get a real tree, but now I'm really great with the fake one.  Ok, maybe...

I'm back! I'm back!

Woohoo!  My husband fixed my computer this weekend so now I get to be back! Now, I'm so overwhelmed, I don't even know where to begin.  This is a crazy house and there is always a million things going on, so I guess, I'll just dig in with the biggest and most life changing. On my last big update post (that you can find  here ) I mentioned a strange reaction to the heat I seemed to be having.  If you follow me on Facebook, then you already know this, but as it turns out, I'm not experiencing a strange reaction other than PREGNANCY!!!!  We were so super nervous when we first found out since Sydney is now only 18 months old, but now we are so excited.  I was still nursing Sydney regularly and I was on the progesterone only pill so I didn't have a real period.  Because of this, the nausea was just passed off as heat related, especially since during the afternoon it was in the 80s in our house with the air on.  A couple of people made comments that...

This Summer Is Flying By

Is it really true?  I haven't blogged since last month?  That's insane!  Well, I'm going to do my best to catch up on everything fun we've been doing since last time. This summer I seem to have gotten a strange reaction to the heat.  I find myself sick to my stomach almost every afternoon and evening.  I think it's because the AC on our home does not keep up at all and the house is usually at 80 ish degrees.  I know, that doesn't seem like a lot to some people, but in this house, to me, that's hot.  It's so hot that this stay at home chef doesn't want to cook anything for fear of making the house even hotter.  I'm dying for some delicious homemade moist bread or lemon blueberry muffins, but I don't want to turn the oven on. We've been spending a lot of time at my mother and father-in-law's home, and swimming in their pool.  One day, it was so hot even in the pool that they bought almost 40 10lb blocks of ice and put them in the poo...

The Holidays and Allergic Reactions!

Ok, so this is going to be a big, possibly boring update, but I'm hoping you'll try to stay with me... Going into the lovely holiday season, the entire family has been sick.  Four doctors visits and two emergency room visits later, we've entered the new year, and are finally beginning to mend. With everyone sick, it made it hard to do things that would put us in the Christmas spirit like crafts and baking.  I think we did one craft for Christmas and I did all of the baking pretty much on Christmas eve's eve.  I was super bummed that Ben couldn't really help me, but with him coughing and runny nosed, I really didn't want him anywhere near where the baking was happening.  Ben and I did manage to get the house decorated and to me, that was an accomplishment all in itself. I wrapped all of the presents by myself, but Ben was so sick, he spent most of the time conked out on the couch.  It gave me plenty of time to get it all done.  We had to, at one po...
