Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather in my neck of the woods: Cold again... Things that make me happy:   My sister is being induced tomorrow.  This will be her second baby and I'm so super excited! Book I'm reading: The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson What's on my TV today:   Season 5 of the The Office On the menu for dinner: I have no idea...  I was waiting to see if my sister was being induced tonight, and since she isn't, I have no dinner plans. On my To Do List: Laundry Dishes Work on cleaning out the office and garage New Recipe I tried or want to try soon: Pulled Pork sandwiches In the craft basket: Nothing at the moment, however I did just get some new fabric. Looking forward to this week: My new niece being born. Tips and Tricks: I don't really have one. My favorite blog post this week:  Once again, I sadly don't have one. Ch-Ch-Changes and the not...

The past couple of weeks have been a whirl wind!  We've been working on the house and looking for a new place to live.  We've been battling illnesses of both the stomach and head variety, and my brother stayed with us for a weekend. The house hunt The reason we were looking to move was due to the fact that the slab our house is on has a huge crack down the middle.  This causes major cracks in the walls when the house moves or settles.  It also allows for the massive spider problems we had last spring, summer, and fall.  The latest problem is that the man who lived here before us, didn't do a very good job of cleaning the gutters causing rot and drainage issues and with all the snow we had gotten, it was causing the overhang to almost fall completely off the house. The weather in my neck of the woods: Warmer than it has been.  I think it's like mid to high 40s today.   Things that make me happy:   My kids sleeping in their very own beds and having my bed to my husband and myself. Book I'm reading: The Girl Who Played With Fire by Stieg Larsson  Only a few pages left and I have The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson on standby.   What's on my TV today:   Harry's Law is on tonight and Season 2 of The Office on Netflix. On the menu for dinner: I think we're getting sushi for Valentine's Day and burgers for the kids. On my To Do List: Make woopie pies and cupcakes. New Recipe I tried or want to try soon: The Dugger's Tatertot Casserole In the craft basket: More decor for the kids room. The weather in my neck of the woods: I think the high today is like 25 degrees. Things that make me happy:   When my husband helps me with the housework even though he doesn't have to.  I know that sounds bad, but last night, I was picking up the kids toys and he was doing homework at the kitchen table and he stopped just to help me.  Makes me feel good. Book I'm reading: The Girl Who Played With Fire by Stieg Larsson  I'm hoping to finish it this week.   What's on my TV today:   Harry's Law tonight and today, gotta watch last weeks Grey's anatomy and Kennedy's home movies. On the menu for dinner: My Aunt Marci's Taco Soup recipe On my To Do List: Fold Laundry New Recipe I tried or want to try soon: Hot Artichoke and Cheese Dip   I made it for the Super bowl yesterday and it was a major hit.
