Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather::::

We're back into the hundreds...

On my reading pile:::
Finishing up We Live to know, love, and serve God by Fr. Oscar Lukefahr, CM and starting We Believe by Fr. Oscar Lukefahr, CM
Also, I think I'm going to start 50 Shades of Grey.  My mother in law is about to read it and so is my brother in law's girlfriend.  It doesn't sound like my kind of book, but I have to see what the fuss is all about.

On my tv:::

Frasier

Breaking Bad

On the menu for this week:::

Monday- Creamy taco pasta bake and homemade salsa
Tuesday- Ranch house crockpot pork chops, rice and veggies
Wednesday- Encore for my birthday
Thursday- Roasted chicken, veggies, and mashed potatoes
Friday- Spaghetti with meatballs and bread
Saturday- Baked chicken and creamy corn
Sunday- In KC

On my to do list:::
laundry
vacuum
kitchen floor
make beds
clean windows

What am I sewing, crocheting, knitting, or creating:::

Giant Granny Square Blanket

Homemaking tips:::
After doing many loads of laundry, sometimes my washing machine starts to smell like mildew.  To get the smell out, sprinkle the bottom of the washer with baking soda.  Pour some white vinegar over the baking soda and then run the washer on the hottest setting.  The smell should be gone.

Looking around my house:::
Rylie is sitting in my lap laughing and cooing as I type.  Ben is watching My Little Pony on the iPad and Sydney is playing with her baby doll.  I love that even when we are all doing our own thing,  we are still together.

From the camera:::

On my prayer list:::
My brother-in-law and his girlfriend.  They are going through a lot of stress right now and a lot of change all at once and need all the prayers or positive energy they can get.

Yea, I figure I should see what all the fuss is about. I probably won't finish it. I'm bad about abandoning books that I lose interest in or have no interest in. I can't make myself read anything I don't care for. One of my friends said that it is horribly written as well.

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...
