Ginger Spiced Plum Sauce

Recipe 20 in my 52 new recipes in 2017 is Ginger Spiced Plum Sauce.

We needed a plum sauce to go with the our Pork and Plum Kebabs and I found this delicious recipe on Pinterest. I was super impressed with how easy and yummy it was.

I found the recipe here.

Ginger Spiced Plum Sauce

1/2 cup lightly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari
3 tablespoons finely grated fresh ginger, peeled
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon five spice powder
2 pounds red or black plums, pitted and coarsely chopped

Add all the ingredients EXCEPT the plums to a large pot and bring to a boil. Simmer for about 5 minutes or so, then add the plums and continue to simmer until thickened and jammy (about 20 minutes or so). Carefully puree until smooth using an immersion blender. Simply cool the sauce and keep it in the refrigerator.

I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...
