Looking forward to:::
Monday nights we do family dinner with Shawn's parents. It's so nice to sit down to a nice dinner together.

Looking around the house:::
It's 10am and Shawn's breakfast is still on the counter. By now it's freezing cold since it was cooked an hour ago, but since he got this new job, he works nonstop and often on video calls so I can't even run it up to him. Scottie is playing with one or two of the cats and their ball track toy thing behind me. The TV is on down in the living room but I can still hear Dakota (our new dog) sighing heavily in the living room. All the dogs need to go outside but Dakota is put on a leash and goes out front for now since Duchess isn't too accepting of her yet.

From the camera:::
We went to a Weda Skirts concert this weekend. The kids all got to dance and the music was really good.

What I'm wearing today:::
I've got on my jeggings and a grey v-neck tshirt with my Roxi slip on shoes. When I took the kids to school this morning I threw a mustard yellow sweater on, to keep warm.

One of my simple pleasures:::
Snuggling with Scottie while we watch her shows or read her books. I may see the same boring and annoying shows over and over again, or read her favorite books on repeat, but I'm trying to cherish this as much as I can. Next year she goes to kindergarten all day, and I'll be all alone at home.

Bible verse, Devotional, prayers:::

I haven't watched superstore but the other shows you watch are in my line up so maybe I should.

I really like the verse you shared for the week. Family dinners sound super nice. It's been a long time since we've done any type of family dinner that wasn't holiday related. Hope you have a wonderful week!

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...

Happy Homemaker Monday

   As I look outside my window::: So far today, it is cold and gloomy! Right now I am:::  Sitting on the couch under my crocheted afghan. Thinking and pondering::: On Thanksgiving!  What to fix.  I think I'm getting carried away, but I love it.  On my bedside table::: I haven't been doing much reading lately and I should. Duck Commander Family by Willie and Korie Robertson Frozen by Sarah Nathan and Sela Roman On my tv tonight::: American Horror Story Some Doctor Who specials Playing on the radio::: I don't have anything playing right now, but I'm obsessed with James Blunt's new song, Bonfire Heart. The video is amazing too.  I love the story behind the video.  The people in it are NOT actors.  The wedding scene towards the end, he actually crashed a wedding and captured the bride and grooms first dance.  Amazing.  And, not only is his voice and music wonderful, he's a total hottie. On the menu for ...

Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
