Happy Homemaker Monday

Sorry I'm late today... I've been busy with being lazy the first half of the day and getting work done the rest of the day.

Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather.....

Right now I am....
Sitting in bed, listening for the laundry to tell me it's time to be changed around.

Thinking....
About how tired I am but that I don't want to go to bed yet because I want to spend a little time with my husband when he gets home.

On my reading pile....
Not much of anything at this moment.

On my TV.....
Today I watched my Sister Wives and Breaking Amish: LA.  Right now I'm watching Hotel Transylvania for the bajillionth time with the kiddos.

What I found while surfing the net....
Nothing at this moment.

On the menu for this week....

Monday - Bacon and cheesy eggs
Tuesday -  Henry Ts
Wednesday - Pork Chops
Thursday - German Pancakes
Friday - Savory beef and noodles
Saturday -
Sunday -

On my to do list....
Well, I accomplished almost everything I wanted to do today which includes lots and lots of laundry, dishes, and picking up the kitchen and living room.  The only thing I didn't get done was the floors.

In the craft basket....Hopefully I can work on my granny square blanket some this week.

Looking forward to this week....Hopefully not much of anything, except dinner with family tomorrow, and maybe going to see my sister-in-laws new apartment on Wednesday.  I'm actually just hoping to take it easy and get all the time in I can with my kiddos since Ben starts kindergarten next week.

Looking around the house....
My husband just got home from basketball and is taking a shower upstairs.  I'm sitting in bed in my bedroom, Rylie's in her bed next to my bed and the big kids are camped out on the floor.  We have the lights off and Hotel Transylvania on the TV.  We've been doing a movie in my room a lot lately.  Hopefully Shawn will come downstairs soon and snuggle the monsters.

From the camera....
This picture cracks me up.  I took it of Sydney on a bed and bedspread I liked at Nebraska Furniture Mart and my sister-in-law Kelly jumped in.

On my prayer list.....

My husband as he leaves super early tomorrow for New York until Thursday evening.

Bible verse, Devotional....
I don't have a verse or Devotional this evening.

Potato Soup

During Lent this last spring, I needed a meat free dinner to feed my sister-in-law and her family. Usually my potato soup has lots of bacon and bacon grease in it. I found this recipe here .This one is meatless, but it is important to add that it is NOT dairy free. There are adjustments you can do to make it dairy free though. It’s quick and was really well liked.  Potato Soup 6-8 cups russet potatoes, peeled and chopped 1 yellow onion, diced 2 stalks celery, chopped 1 clove garlic 4 cups vegetable stock 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded 1/2 cup sour cream or cream 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper Pinch red pepper flakes 1 tbsp butter 1 tbsp olive oil In a large pot over medium heat, add the butter and olive oil. Once hot and melted together add the onions and celery. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Add the potatoes and minced garlic to the pot and continue to sauté all of the ingredients for about 5 minutes. Add vegetable stock and increase th
