Happy Homemaker Monday

I am super late tonight, as it is almost Tuesday now.  I spent most of the morning laying in bed with my kiddos and my afternoon at my in-laws' house, hanging out and enjoying the day and their company.

The weather.....

It's so gorgeous, I can't believe it's August in Kansas!!!

Right now I am....
Sitting in bed watching The Tigger Movie with the kiddos while they should actually be sleeping.

Thinking....
That I'm so exhausted and should be going to sleep soon.

On my reading pile....
I finally started Catering to Nobody by Diane Mott Davidson.  My mom loaned it to me a long time ago and I'm just now getting to it.  I'm also hoping to get to The End of Manners by Francesca Marciano.  My husband just read it for school and said I would like it, so I'm hoping to get that read soon.

On my TV.....
Nothing today really, as I've been out of the house most of the day.  Tonight I'm watching The Tigger Movie with the kids again...

On the menu for this week....

Monday - Left over burgers and chicken sausages
Tuesday -  Savory Beef and Noodles
Wednesday - Pizza
Thursday - Grocery Day
Friday -
Saturday -
Sunday -

On my to do list....
I was sick to my stomach this morning and spent the afternoon in Kansas City, so the things I needed to get done today, did not get done.  Those things are top priority tomorrow.  Dishes and FOLDING LAUNDRY, as well as sweep the kitchen floor.

In the craft basket....
I haven't been working on anything lately.  I've been so busy with everything else.  I would really love to get a chance to sit down and work on my granny square blanket, and I have a paint project I'd love to work on as well.

Looking forward to this week....
Enjoying the last week of summer before school starts on the 19th.

Looking around the house....
The house is in pretty good shape, since my husband cleaned the carpets yesterday and I steam mopped the kitchen floor with moving  all the furniture.  The kids have a bed setup on the floor in my room since my husband is out of town.  I always feel better having them here with me.

From the camera....
Shawn was getting ready to leave for a business trip and the kids were loving him up like crazy.  All three of them are climbing on top of him but for some reason you can hardly see Sydney in this picture.

On my prayer list.....
My husband, as he travels for work.
My son, as he starts Kindergarten this week.
Sandra and her family, as they deal with wildfires, job interviews, and illness.

Bible verse, Devotional....
Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it shall be done for him.  Therefore I tell you, all that you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours.  When you stand to pray, forgive anyone against whom you have a grievance, so that your heavenly Father may in turn forgive you your transgressions. ~ Mark 11:23-25

Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.   Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me. A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years. Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag. And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in an...
