New recipe I tried, or want to try this week::::
I just bought a Trisha Yearwood cookbook called Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen and I have an Amish cookbook I got for my birthday and can't wait to cook from.

Homemaking Tip::::
I don't have one this week.

Visiting with Blog friends (blog you want to share, blog post that caught your eye)::::
I just started going back and rereading my old blogs.  It's interesting to see what life was like back when we only had 1 child.

Praying for::::
The family and close friends of a friend of mine from highschool who lost her battle with cancer.
My husband as he travels this week.
Myself to keep my sanity as we settle into our new schedule with school, dance, soccer, etc.

Bible Verse, Devotional that is resonating with me at the moment::::
What, then, shall we say in response to this?  If God is for us, who can be against us? ~ Romans 8:31

Some days, when everything is stressful, and I feel that the world isn't on my side, I just need to hear that.

I have both of those cookbooks and love them. Trisha Yearwood has amazing recipes and so does the Amish one :)

Love the picture of the horse, so cute.

I hope you have a really good week and that Ben is still enjoying his first few days of school in first grade :)

It’s quick and was really well liked.  Potato Soup 6-8 cups russet potatoes, peeled and chopped 1 yellow onion, diced 2 stalks celery, chopped 1 clove garlic 4 cups vegetable stock 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded 1/2 cup sour cream or cream 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper Pinch red pepper flakes 1 tbsp butter 1 tbsp olive oil In a large pot over medium heat, add the butter and olive oil. Once hot and melted together add the onions and celery. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Add the potatoes and minced garlic to the pot and continue to sauté all of the ingredients for about 5 minutes. Add vegetable stock and increase th
