The weather..... Hot and humid today, but it looks like it may be a little cooler later this week.




Right now I am....Watching about the royal baby and on the phone with my mom.

Thinking....About how much I still have to do around the house.  Coming back from vacation is hard.

On my reading pile....The Duggars: 20 and Counting! and The First American Cookbook

On my TV.....Desperate Housewives, and I was also on Baby watch

What I found while surfing the net....Nothing at the moment.  I've been busy working on chores all day and I just got home from vacation yesterday.

On the menu for this week....I have no menu at this point for the week.  I need to come up with one, but just haven't planned that far ahead.  I don't even know what I'm cooking for dinner yet and it's 3:40.

On my to do list....
Finish laundry
Clean the counters in the kitchen
Vacuum
Clean the kitchen floor
Bake cookies

In the craft basket....I'm hoping to get to work on my granny square blanket at some point this evening.  

Looking forward to this week....Getting back into the swing of things since vacation.  

Looking around the house....The kids are resting in their beds and I'm sitting in a clean living room (well except for the floor which needs vacuuming and maybe a good carpet cleaning) while Desperate Housewives is on the TV.  The washer, dryer, and dishwasher are running.  I have candles burning above the kitchen sink, on the fireplace mantel, and on the dresser in my bedroom.  The house smells amazing.

Vacation is wonderful, but coming back is always a bummer LOL The worst part for me is unpacking and knowing I have tons of laundry etc. Ugh!

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car. Petty

This evening our sweet little Petty went to Kitty Heaven.  The cancer had spread to her brain, causing her to have odd behaviors.  The tumor in her mouth, or the side of her face, had pulled down her ear canal on that side and caused her eye to twitch, which the vet said caused constant vertigo.  The cancer had also spread to her intestines causing her to loose control of her bowels and bladder and she was bleeding internally.  While she didn't appear to be suffering, there is no way that she wasn't.  We sadly had to have her put down. Yes, I'm meowing at her in the video.  Sometimes she would answer when you would do that, but she would always come to you. She was such a cute little love bug.  I named her Perpetua, from the Bridget Jones movies, and later we shortened it to Petty, just because we are a family of nicknames.  I remember when we first got her and she was so tiny.  She looked like a lemur and she was all black with a cou...

Happy Homemaker Monday

The Weather::: Right now, it's 30 degrees.  It's supposed to get up to 40 today though. Right now I am: Sitting at the kitchen table with Scotland in my lap.  Rylie is playing with a remote control My Little Pony scooter toy on the kitchen floor. Thinking: How busy today is, what all I need to get done, and the walk I want to go on. On my reading pile::: Right now, I'm reading a book my sister-in-law loaned me called Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard On my tv::: I've got several shows to catch up on, just not sure how I'm going to fit TV in today.  Maybe during nap time. I've been really enjoying Super Store lately.  It really reminds me of The Office but in a Walmart type store.  It's nice to just laugh and laugh.  It's a lot easier to watch vlogs while I work on the iPad.
