Blogmas 2014 - Day 11 Christmas Food... What Is On The Menu

Ohhh... This one is tough because we go to my in-laws house on Christmas eve where we have snacky type foods all night. Christmas day we live off of the left overs from the night before. Since I have no way of knowing what everyone will bring (it's potluck style) I'll just tell you what we usually eat.

Cookies and Candies... lots of them!

Little Smokies

Chips and dip

Veggies and dip

Fruit

Shrimp cocktail

Lunch meat and Cheese to make sandwiches or eat plain

That's pretty much it, there is always other things like trail mix or stuff I can't remember but a lot of that changes from year to year. Everything I listed we do every year.

The weather in my neck of the woods: Cold and icy and it's supposed to snow... Things that make me happy: Waking up and feeling the urge to be productive. I just feel amazing when I get up and actually want to get things done around the house. Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees. I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold. It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees. When I was younger it was the parking lot. There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to. We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences. My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought. We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree. As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot. We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...
