Blogmas 2014 - Day 20 Last Minute Gift Ideas

Ok, so I'm so guilty of last minute gifts.  Yup, sorry, once again, I'm a procrastinator. I do have some good ideas though.

First of all, cash.  At this day and age, who doesn't need a little cash.
If that feels too impersonal, then gift cards.  You can buy them anywhere, even at the grocery store.

Spa certificates!  Who doesn't need a little pampering?  Whether they spend it with a manicure, pedicure, facial, massage, those work for almost any adult male or female.

Monthly subscriptions.  I personally subscribe to a couple of these and they are great gift ideas.

For kids you have:

Also, last night, I found this awesome link with some cool ideas.  Most of them seemed quick and easy.

And finally, one of my favorites! Popcorn, hot cocoa, and maybe another favorite snack or two, along with a good family movie or two.  Nothing like giving someone a night in, that they can enjoy.

Happy Homemaker Monday

As I look outside my window::: So far today, it is cold and gloomy! Right now I am:::  Sitting on the couch under my crocheted afghan. Thinking and pondering::: On Thanksgiving!  What to fix.  I think I'm getting carried away, but I love it.  On my bedside table::: I haven't been doing much reading lately and I should. The video is amazing too.  I love the story behind the video.  The people in it are NOT actors.  The wedding scene towards the end, he actually crashed a wedding and captured the bride and grooms first dance.  Amazing.  And, not only is his voice and music wonderful, he's a total hottie. Blogmas 2014- Day 1 Favorite Christmas Tradition

This year, I'm participating in Sandra's, at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom, Blogmas 2014.  If you want to join in, you can go over to her post, by clicking here , and see what it's all about.   When I was a kid, growing up, we never had fake trees.  I loved everything about them. The smell, the way they looked, and even more so, the going out as a family in the cold.  It was always a hunt whether at a tree far or a parking lot full of precut trees.  When I was younger it was the parking lot.  There was a place about a mile from our house that we would drive to.  We'd walk through tons of trees leaning against walls and fences.  My dad would hold each one up, shaking them a little bit and asking what we thought.  We all got to be involved in finding the perfect tree.  As we got older, we started going to tree farms instead of the parking lot.  We'd get a sled and a saw and walk between aisles and aisles in fields, full of gorgeou...

Blogmas 2014 - Day 13 How Are You Counting Down To Christmas

Ok, honestly....  I'm not.  I have this gorgeous advent calendar that is 3 building with little numbered doors all over them.  I haven't gotten it out for lack of space and really small children.  Maybe next year.  Also, Ben has been all over the lego ones and stuff so I figure, I'll pick up some next year or as I see them now this year, so each kid can have their own next year.  I don't know maybe I'll just make them if I'm feeling crafty and find the time.  It actually hit us all at once on Saturday that Christmas was less than 2 weeks away.
